When calibrating the fast/perfect/slow feedback is supposed to be missing? It just come to me why they would do this. I understand calibrating is just to find your natural swing tempo but it would help if you got the feedback. Also how do you tell if you hit a perfect with the wind sometimes bring 12mph left to right? Do you hit the range first to see where the shot lands hitting perfect and remember that when calibrating? Sorry I just realised Iโve asked a million questions ๐ but Iโve just calibrated and my normal swing is giving me fasts and trying to understand what better to do now ๐ฌ You are hitting 10 shots to get an average of the 10. When you are taking those 10 shots you are hitting them under the default tempo HB has set (basically the factory tempo setting if you will). The feedback while calibrating wouldn't be really be useful (IMO) because as soon as you get your 10 shots taken the average now becomes the "perfect" tempo and your shots playing regularly will compare to that metric instead and not the HB default tempo that exists only in calibration or on a fresh install of the game.I am not interested in hitting "perfect" shots when calibrating. I want to get 10 shots that feel like my normal/natural swing and they all land in a quite similar area. One or two shots deviating far from where most of the other calibration shots land will skew the 10 shot average, and thus, your overall perfect tempo will skew away from where the majority of your shots are.ย So finding consistently landing shots in one small-ish area on 9 or all 10 shots is going to serve someone better than trying to hit it straight in calibration and forcing oneself to "learn" HB's tempo.ย When I calibrate all of my shots go left in the area of the ball retreiving tractor parked on the driving range. I took 2 or 3 attempts to get them all pretty close to the same landing area and have left the calibration alone since.Thatโs really very helpful and much appreciated! You have made perfect sense for me now and this hopefully should help me sort things out. I had just recently started always hitting fasts and all me and nothing to do with tempo issues as such and it felt like I had to swing too slow to get a perfect. Iโve just calibrated now trying to swing my natural speed and all of my shots went left in varying distances left. Now it feels like I need to swing too fast to get a perfect and getting a lot of slows. I guess now I just need to keep fine tuning the calibration and using what you have described I hope it should help, Again respect for such a detailed reply ๐

Last night I swapped controllers playing Cherrybrook CC and really detected no difference at all in my shot dispersion, i.e. fast/perfect/slow. It just "felt" the same. What are your thoughts on this?

What are your thoughts on this? Honestly I don't really know. I played all of my PS4 rounds with the same controller on this game. Then when I switched to PS5 I went fully to the PS5's Dual Sense. I calibrated then not because of the new controller, but because I didn't move over my old save file that had my old calibration saved on it and started with a fresh install of the game. So I had to change off of HB's default tempo anyways because of the new install either way. I would tend to think that there may be some change in that every controller is unique, but is it minor changes that are or aren't worth it? I think that would be on an individual basis to determine that.

Slightly off topic but I'm wondering as a PS5 player do you experience any screen "stutter" during ball flight or movement of the scout cam? I play the new Xbox Series X and HB Studios recently resolved a swing glitch issue but there is a degree of "stutter" I and others experience. Not all courses suffer this stutter and I'm trying to work out if it is server or course related or perhaps even both. Also the stutter is quite variable from non existent to severe where it occurs on all holes and all shots to varying degrees. At the severe end of the scale it does impact the gameplay experience and what I also believe is that I hit less perfects when playing a course that has bad to severe stutter compared with courses that have minimal stutter. Interested in your feedback. Does what I've written make sense? Hope so! jcauthen04 and dansamp tagging you FYI only.

For context I am talking only on my gameplay and experience since I started playing on my PS5 since launch day about 8 weeks ago... I had no issues in this version of the game until I upgraded my TV approx. 1 month ago to a 4K TV. The default setting of picture mode on the TV had general stutter where I saw the screen fluctuating up and down. It was very unsettling to where I couldn't look at the TV. I then went in and changed it to Game Mode on my TV settings, and while the look on my TV isn't quite as good as it is on some of the other modes, it plays very well and there is no stuttering. It still looks far and away better than the regular old 1080p TV I had before upgrading the TV. Edit: That may or may not help you. Can only tell you my experiences. It was just a case of simply changing to Game Mode on my TV settings to have it play both play smooth in latency (likely a help in finding good tempo possibly??) and also it got rid of stutter that I saw on one or two other settings.

This was more tempo related however and not to do with the screen stutter. I am going to try this also. Trying to get as much understanding as possible to eliminate as much as possible. Thanks and sorry for hijacking this calibration thread! @jcauthen, dansamp

I hope you can find a way to rid yourself of the stuttering issue you sometimes have and also in general I hope the XB1 disadvantage can be taken care of by HB (yes.. I know, I know...) at some point that has plagued the platform since the tempo swing came about in TGC2.

It's really the only game I play as I love the game of golf and esp. all the designs that are created in this game. My kids have no issues playing any other game on the new Series X so it's something specific with HB and this game. Cheers again.

Drives you bloody mad sometimes this game and last night after I wrote all was good had some cracking practice rounds and could swing so straight on all shots and turn it on now and itโs all over the damn place ๐ฌ I just wish I knew if it was me, servers, internet speed but so frustrating ๐ก Ok rant over ๐

Tried changing TV mode to Game Mode but unable as the TV was locked to HDR Video mode as I guess it recognises the Xbox. Also tried the force quit idea but this did not seem help. Cheers
