Cool. I just played Chambers a couple times a few weeks ago. If you want to work in a couple of those big, sweeping uphill and downhill holes playing around and over the giant waste areas depending on the tee placements and angles as it looks like you may be thinking, that would be super-cool. I love the shelf green on the 11th hole seen to the right in this pic, too. But do what you like, of course! Will be great to see this... Chambers #3 and #11

Chambers #3 and #11 The elevation changes won't be quite as severe as Chambers, with the elevation from opening tee shot down to the beach only been about 100 feet down. There are some elevation changes from hole to hole and shot to shot that range from about 30-70 feet down or uphill and will definitely make you think about club selection, especially if wind is playing a factor.

Loving the bunker shapes interested to see what direction you go with the planting!

Been a VERY slow process over the past month, but progress is progress, right? There's just been so many great courses coming out with the Dream Team and others that designing kind of took a backseat for a little bit. Anyway, here's a few more photos, this time of hole 8, probably my favorite hole on the course so far. A downhill, driveable par 4 in certain winds. Pin 4 is tucked in the back corner, but hit the slope right, and it'll feed right down to the hole for possible eagle chances.

I’m different than most a lot of times but I really like the dreary sort of rainy Washington like weather the new lighting has. I know that makes it a little harder to plant and show off but (admittedly I’ve never been) when I think of Washington this is what I expect the weather to look like.

I know that makes it a little harder to plant and show off but (admittedly I’ve never been) when I think of Washington this is what I expect the weather to look like. This was exactly my reasoning for switching it up to see what it'd look like. Much more realistic to the area. Does Washington have sunny days? Sure, but you can't pull off this look by default, however you can still make it sunny if you want. So I think I might stick with this as the final lighting unless I see a more compelling reason not to.

Chambers bay is about halfway between the two cities with the LEAST sunny days in the entire US (1: Portland OR, 2: Seattle WA) with on average around 40-60 sunny days a year.
Another thing to note about chambers bay is it was built on reclaimed land, essentially a garbage dump, so a lot of the land is in fact unnaturally shaped.
Really looking forward to this concept and can't wait to try out a beta of this course when it's closer to completion!

Well, I might get this done before the next game comes out... 😂 Took a 6 month break from the designer and started tinkering again a few weeks ago. Here's a handful of shots from holes 12 and 13. Also decided to switch the lighting back. I just like the low sunset style too much.

I have gotten a couple more holes finished, at a snails pace. Here is a look at hole 10, after adding some trees and making a drastic change to lighting. Still not sure if I like it or a sunny landscape more. Also not sure what to use for underbrush in the tree areas. Grass is my go to, but hate how it renders. If anyone has any suggestions for lighting or anything in general, drop a comment letting me know.Sinking bushes and rocks is my go to for creating underbrush in the trees. Fill it in with some grass for a realistic close-up look.

A few more. This is getting really close now. Just putting the final touches on now with some planting of trees and the clubhouse area.
