Season 11, week 9 (final)
To begin with the "unimportant" list, The Smashed Drivers lay the final smackdown on Balls Deep by a score of 15.5-8.5. It may not have been the season to remember for these two teams, but on the winning side some wine was still served afterwards as Bordeaux finished with 4 points.
Next on the list of teams finishing in a comfy mid-pack, These Boots booted Blue Bear Nuts in the... well you know, edging them out by point score of 12.5-11.5. No 4 point finishers here, although with a 26 stroke gap this was much closer than it seems at first.
Then we need to decide which order to weave the storylines. Let's begin from the middle, where Lofty Expectations were chasing for 1st place heading into the week as slightly distant 2nd. They walk off Walk Into a Par 15-9, although the winning margin left a bit to be desired to consider a true fight to win the season. No 4 pointers here either, so now the eyes turn into the other matches with some significant impact.
If this next one had a big winner it could have still had an impact depending on the outcome of the championship decider. Plat and the Wet Wigs entered a distant 4th but could still sneak through to top 3 with a big week, surely doing that by dispatching The Jersey Rockin' Heartbreakers 18.5-5.5. 4 point super finishes for big scorer Gilmore and Taylor, putting some pressure into the final match.
And in convincing championship winning style, champions of the season Designated Drivers designate their spot into 1st place by breaking apart 3rd placers Tee Breakers 21-3 for the biggest win all season on the last possible week. 4 points galore to 4 players: Budel, Branca, Mitchell and Warncke. Meanwhile, the 3 points for the Tee Breakers were just enough to see off Plat and the Wet Wigs by 1 point in the end, with tiebreaker decision going against them it was just enough.
Top score(s): Gilmore -71 4 point club: Budel, Branca, Mitchell, Warncke, Gilmore, Taylor, Bordeaux
Final leaderboard of season 11, static finish to the season but it is what it is:
1. (NC) Designated Drivers 143 points / -2557 total under par 2. (NC) Lofty Expectations 128 / -2458 3. (NC) Tee Breakers 115.5 / -2475 4. (NC) Plat and the Wet Wigs 114.5 / -2477 5. (+1) The Smashed Drivers 105.5 / -2391 6. (-1) Walk Into a Par 104 / -2499 7. (NC) Blue Bear Nuts 100 / -2298 8. (NC) These Boots 95.5 / -2455 9. (NC) Balls Deep 91.5 / -2423 10. (NC) The Jersey Rockin' Heartbreakers 82.5 / -2229
Sky Blue Tee (MVP) winner of season 11: Mitchell 29/36 points
Very few words needed to describe the season this time around: top 3 were top 3 the whole way through. Some changes between them were seen on the first half but week 7 was the last time top 3 changed at all. They were just a step above the rest, with 4th placed Plat and the Wet Wigs almost capitalizing on the last chance! Congrats to all teams!
SOTS Cup is up next for all former, current and future members of HTF. Here's the CC venues for the next 2 weeks should folks want in since it's optional only:
Week 1, qualifying (this week): Vermilion Range GC by Matthew Fritch. Top 16 total scores advance.
Week 2, the matchplay for the Cup (next week): Tumbledown Keep by Ben Strang. 4 round knockout event between 16 qualifiers seeded 1-16 based on scores of previous week, winner takes the red striped tee.
FRIENDLY MENTION: going forward into season 12, I would like to appeal to everyone reporting scores that the scores are in as soon as possible and at best all of them are in before event closing times and thus the week is finalized in good time, so that I can have all future recaps done in time on Sunday. Should there be a delay to a point where it goes into the next calendar week (Monday or at worst even later) like it did a couple times this season, it will likely be published at the earliest on Monday early evening local time (GMT +2, yes to those not in the know I'm in Finland) for the writer. I heavily rely on spreadsheet data for recaps so unless everything's there I can't progress all the way through. Just wanted to mention/remind this, no requirement to report this way but I'd appreciate that if this isn't too much to ask. Forgetting happens, some like to hang on to scores or playing until very late and I get all that. I wanted to just ask in a friendly manner, that's all. So again: if you can, help contribute to Kevin's Peaceful Sunday Time Fund by giving your scores at the earliest convenience, so you can also help me out by not making me wait all that much longer.
Thank you, enjoy the SOTS Cup and see you here in this spot again soon!

Season 12, intro / week 0
Whilst the SOTS Cup is being broken down as to who won, who's next to take it... we can also turn our eyes into another thrilling season of Happy Tee Friends, 12th of its kind and makes a clean dozen, not the dirty one because this is a classy posh group of players that have been amassed on here. As per usual over the past few seasons, 60 players from all walks of pro tour / CC-A life have combined to make 10 teams of 6 individuals, all ranging from pool 1 to pool 6. Same names you know and love, some new ones I'm sure you will know and love eventually, some returnees that you at least used to know and love. Prizes are simple: top team gets the Golden Tees to the tee cabinet, second place gets Silver, third settles for Bronze. One top scorer of points is named MVP, taking home the Sky Blue Tee. In case of tie in points, tiebreaker is shots under par for the whole thing. You know, the same gig. And speaking of same gig, hello again my name's Tomi, your guide once more this season, bringing you for a ride in the most wittiest and driest of humor. Apologies in advance if my quips and sharp quill skills of the modern age do not strike your fancy.
The stage is set to kick off in a matter of hours, for week 1 takes things to Warren Heath in the CC lands, this created course is by Chris Gooding. I will not be taking too much time to preview the course, there are individuals out there that do it in much better way than I. Should there be anything noteworthy, for instance, this is the second course of the same person to feature on tour in the space of a month and Plat gets another one of his this upcoming week, it shall be mentioned here. Oh, and let's actually preview the matches too since we recap those every week:
1-A: Team B vs. Team F 1-B: Wine And Dine vs. The Wild Aces 1-C: Dude, Where's My Par? vs. Team J 1-D: Designated Drivers vs. Team C 1-E: 2/1 Favourites vs. The Wuhan Warriors
Cheers, good luck this season!

The Brew Crew and Baseball make CC relaxing for me. Happy Tee Friends has just tripled the pressure I feel for scoring. These Guys Are Good!

The Brew Crew and Baseball make CC relaxing for me. Happy Tee Friends has just tripled the pressure I feel for scoring. These Guys Are Good! Haha yes. TBC is definitely more banter oriented, and it‘s hard to keep up with the progression of forum pages, while HTF is a little more golf oriented, and it‘s hard to keep up with the scoring. TBC is a fantastic group! I enjoyed spending my time with these people, leaving (and creating HTF) only because their flight restrictions regarding the TGCT Pro Tours were a little more strict back in the day.

All changed when TGCT went back to having Master as its level of choice. Almost 25% of our players nowadays are Posh Boys.

Well then let's get this over with, posting my scores in great disgust this week R1: -9 R2: -3 R3: -12 R4: -7 Overall -31 First Off... you're scores we're still good enough to beat me and give my team trouble. Second Off... You shot pretty darn good in True Sim. Crushed my 10 Over Par Tournament. All is not lost! Lastly, you Wuhan Warriors are most likely going to beat us Outsiders this week.
