Dear Happy Tee Friends,
Just one more thing before Season 7 kicks off tomorrow.
As long-term members know, I tend to get nervous if many people have have not concluded or even started their HTF rounds on Saturday. This is simply because if life gets into the way on a Saturday, there is no day left to postpone your rounds to.
**Thus I would like to encourage you (it's NOT mandatory!) to complete your rounds before Saturday morning GMT if it isn't too much of an inconvenience.
Also, please let me know if you are not able to get your rounds in so that I can find a replacement in due time.**
On Saturday morning GMT, I will post the usual Happy ReminderTM here and on Discord, tagging all participants that have not yet completed their rounds.
Thanks and cheers,
The Happy Secretariat

Hello! New season is here. Season 7 from heaven!
There's 2 change in this new season. It's getting bigger and longer with a total of 12 teams competing for the championship. I'm honnestly not sure how it will turn out. Will it make competition tighter until the end having more than 3-4 teams still contender in the last weeks or lots of teams will be out before we reach 1/3 of the season?
Second "change" is the addition of several top world class players. Several teams now have a player that can shoot in -70's. It did had a cascade effect on Pool #2, wich is also stacked and better than ever. I think Pool #3 and #4 are about the same strenght than last season.
I'm gonna make a bold prediction here. Pool #1 players are directly facing each others 3 times every weeks and it will be a bloodbath. Parity will play a role at some point. I therefore predicts that a player from Pool #2 will be crowned MVP at the end of the season.
I'll keep my duty of producing a weekly report, give the 3-stars and give a preview of the next course we play. I'll comment some odd match or amazing facts I found in the week, call some teams in danger (my wake-up call seems to have worked with the Cassino's last season! π) but the spoon-feeding of every scores each weeks is gone. Golfers don't have lots to do expect play and post their scores. By respect to Kevin's amazing work he's doing here updating scores all day long, I'm gonna ask you to check the spreadsheets to know the results of each match-ups and where your team stands exaclty in the leaderboard. This league is way more fun when you get involved and care about the global results of the league. Thanks!
Our first course of the season is Gleneden Grove. We're starting this with an absolute beauty, believe me! Best CC course in while, maybe the best CC course ever in my opinion. Perfect 10/10. It visually feels like you're playing at Augusta, but easier. I expect some of our new friends in Pool #1 will shoot in the -70's if conditions are in the easy-medium difficulty range.
Let's finish this with a little motivational speech. Whatever your level of play is right now, just remember that over 2.5 millions people bought this game in the last 16 months. So just being here reading this makes you better than 99.8% of all pixel golfers out there in the world.
Chin up, have fun and good luck! πββοΈπββοΈ

This week
Rd1 -13 Rd2 -13 Rd3 -9 Rd4 -11 -46
A great start undone by an indifferent 3rd round. First two and last two rds were played on different days. That's my excuse anyway.

Week #1 in the book! 10 to go Great start by the Skuds and the Marshalls as they both get a 12-4 wins. Great team work by the Marshalls as all their players shot scores between -49 and -54. Depth is important in this league. The match that really got my attention is Allstars beating Crapster's 8.5 to 7.5. Allstars played 22 shots better than their opponent. As demonstrated last season, things can go bad when total shots have a +15 or more differencial. A rout was avoided by not much. Both teams could look back at this one if championship is win/lost by a couple of points.Β Here's our 3-stars of week 1 and a seasonal reminder of how I pick them. No exact formula, but being in a winning team this week, overachieving against all players of your pool, having at least 3-pts and the strenght of the rounds that are played against you are taken in account to make a choice. One player per team is named, unless you give me no choice. Almost happened this week! π₯Couturier, -51, 4-pts. Great start for the Pool #3 rookie π₯ rzuchero -54, 4-pts. Big week for the Pool #3 player! π₯ Loveskud -69, 3-pts. The HTF-π is doing π things again! 4 shots better than anyone On to week #2. The featured match-up of the week is between Droppin Deuces and Bombers. These are the 2 teams that lost 12-4 as previously said. Both teams have a chance to erase a rough start, or stay far away from the top! Our course this week is Priory Course at Glenrow. Links course with big greens, no real threats anywhere. Designers will appreciate the visual details of the course, simple, but beautiful one. Hole #16 is hot as hell! Conditions will be windy for most part of the tournament. Have fun and good luck!

Dear Happy Tee Friends,
please let me know if you are unable to play next week. So far, three participants have announced that they'll be off. This is no concern, as I can organise subs for them. However, if a few more of you are unable to play, we might need to take a week off altogether.
Thanks for your input!
Cheers,
The Happy Secretariat

Well, probably shot the best I can, to me early to mid 40's means I have played well. My target each event is -36, Birdie 50% of holes is my goal, anything better is a bonus. Added bonus was the Ace in rd1 (two posts up ^) and a pitch in Eagle on H72 really helped up mup kupen nup I am ok for next week, this weeks scores are as follows:- Rd1: -12 Rd2: -13 Rd3: -8 (rd with my only bogey ) Rd4: -12 Total: -45 I would like to wish you and family a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, hope you have a safe and enjoyable time
