Kind of relieved to see that I was not the only one... First, this kind of greens and courses are like kryptonite for me, I am a specialist on bad bounces. But the main reason for my disaster of a week was playing through round 1 and half of round 2 with huge connection problems, 90% shots on red fasts... and thinking that it was just a few shots and things will turn better. Mistake. Mental note made, sorry to my team for only quitting day 1 after 27 holes wasted. -3 -7 Double bogeys, drops as this one... Then decided to quit for three days. Burnt my house, divorced, changed my name, recalibrated the swing, cleaned the router and managed to come back to more normality -8 -11 Lesson learned, I promise

Not really my course. With tempo issues it's as tough as nails.

Dear Why Itz Up Tho' teammates, I had a hard time finding scoring opportunities on this course. Either my tempo was off or my approach landed on the wrong side of the hole. Cheers and good luck all!

Week #4 wrap-up has arrived!
The Cassino's enjoyed their first victory of the season over the Mackerel's by the score of 11-5. Curious fact about this one, they won by 53 shots and did get about the same results than a regular 10-20 shots margin victory. I'm curious to see if it will happen again somewhere this season.
In other games, T-Platinium beats the Happy Bullseyers by 11-5 too. Irons won 10.5 to 5.5 over the Bandits. Golfathers got the best against ProShot Golfers by the same margin. Finally, no surprise that WhyZupsT and Shall We? match ends in a draw, considering there's only 1 shot difference between the 2 teams.
Leaderboard is evolving pretty fast. Irons remains in top place with 37.5 pts. T-Platinium are following at 36 pts, while Golfathers and Bandits share the 3rd place with 35 pts each. Cassino's have left the last place in the standing. Mackerel's (25 pts) and ProShot Golfers (27 pts) are now on the clock to start making a comeback soon with a big victory. Only 12.5 pts between first and last, not only it's possible tp comeback because less than 50% of the season is done, but this shows how tight this great league is!
The 3-Stars of the week. I'm sorry to scottiewalnuts for missing his -70 last week. He should have earned a star there! π
π₯ MikeB -58, 3-pts. First time I give a star to a player in a team that lost, but Mike prevented a way bigger loss with his great showing. π₯ cjb2 -59, 4-pts. He led his team en route for the Cassino's first win of the season. π₯ karacakes -69, 4-pts. Personnal opinion here, but considering the course was way tougher than last week, this -69 might be even more impressive than last week's -77! Great job as always Kara!
Twelve Souls Golf Club is our battle field this week. You will get why this course is named like that once you have to avoid a 12 tombstones cemetary right in the middle of a fairway (!) Watch out, it's not even OB! Other than this, it's a very nice sober course. Lots of well placed water, these creeks are not just decoys, the designer clearly wants you to wet a ball in your rounds.
Have a nice golfing week folks!
