I'll kick this off, a nice bogey free -8 to open up. After last weeks horror show, will just be happy to make the cut this week! Good luck everyone π

Nice course, good mix of holes, expect scoring to be fairly low considering the par 5s are fairly easy and there are a couple of driveable par 4s... course just seemed to fit my eye this week and my tempo was solid throughout for a change
Think I threw in a bogie in each round but still pleased, putting was def better
11, 11 to start so 22 at the cut... I finished up and hopefully will get a top 10
Good luck all

Playing with the theme, I also opened with a -8 haha. Second round I hit into the brushes on one of the scoreable par 5s and ended up taking a couple to get out(These desert branches are more rigid than they look! haha). Bogeyed that hole, managed a -6 in R2. -14 at the cut, which hopefully holds?
During my TGC rounds ive seemed to not be able to break that -10 mark lately. Been making cuts, but really want to be playing for more Greenies.

No pressure or anything tpetro , but you better not miss the cut on your own course Loved this course, thought it fit pretty well for us. My favorite stretch is 14-15-16-17. Just a really fun finish that will probably lead to some great scores on the back 9 for everyone who finishes in the top 10 this week. Good luck everyone!

Great course this week, I just wish playing the game didn't feel like a chore. Wish they would fix the tempo bs. Either fix it to where playing a fast is penalized the same as a slow or turn it off. Good luck to everyone this week.

-10 second round, leaves me -18 at halfway. More than happy with this, and can actually enjoy the final 36 holes this week! Good luck all π

Great course this week, I just wish playing the game didn't feel like a chore. Wish they would fix the tempo bs. Either fix it to where playing a fast is penalized the same as a slow or turn it off. Good luck to everyone this week. This statement is right where I'm at. The game feels like a 'chore'. For me there is nothing consistent about the tempo since the last patch. I always played for perfects with the occasional fast for a drive and since the last patch, and if I miss 1/2 the time it is a very fast, which is understandable but the other half I get a slow or very slow which makes zero sense. Playing for perfects if I get a fast or slow, I can live with that, but a vf when I'm hitting a perfect?
In the past games if I hit a very fast or off tempo shot, you could feel, yup you went a bit fast or slow on that shot. This game a stroke which feels like a perfect brings up a VF defies explanation. The whole shooting for a fast and getting a slow or very slow is even worse. How does one work on their tempo when there is nothing about the shot that makes any sense?
This game started out fun and challenging, now.... it is simply a 'chore' to finish a round.
What really hurts tho, is there was once upon a time, when we could take these queries and issues to HB and they would actually look at it. Now it is "everything is fine. Everything is as we have written it." or the worst, "We have changed nothing with the swing" like that is some sort of reassurance. Sure they didn't tinker with the speed but they did tinker with "improved frame rate" which we ALL know can and does effect tempo. Change something with how the frame rate reports, that effects tempo, which effects tempo, which effects the shot. It is the law of unintended consequences, only they don't want to hear that. They don't want to acknowledge it or even test it out. It is sad. HB used to work with the golfers to make a better game and to dive into the little quirks to understand the issues. Now they care more about Halloween helmets, costumes, societies and the PGA tour. I get it, I really do. They have out grown the smaller company that would allow them better customer relations with the every day user. It still makes me sad.

Don't underestimate this course, especially if youre like me and can't play the short pitch or flop shots π€ͺ managed to finish up 36 under through 4 rounds and that was with a -4 on the 1st round, saved with a -13 2nd round so hopefully make the cut at 17 under.
Been stuck on 2 promo marks for a couple of weeks now... not convinced I've done enough to make a top 15 either so I'm going to make myself at home in the Elite league ππ

A game of two halves in round one... Level par front 9, with 3 bogies. -7 back 9 with 2 eagles, one from over 170 yards which is always a bonus. I couldn't manage a birdie on the par 5 18th but I've given myself a chance of the cut after that back 9.

Struggled to get into this one this week. Not knocking the course at all, but some tracks just fit people's eyes (and games) better than others I guess.
-7 and -8 will hopefully see me into the weekend.

-9 -7
Should see me make my first cut in 3 weeks. Got my tempo and swing line back somewhat this week. Made 2 poor bogies in round 2 but overall played solid enough, still miss too many putts to ever compete.
Good luck to everyone and a shout out to the designer. Lovely course that makes you think all the time.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. my name is Kevin, I am the organizer of the Hunt for the Golden Cow, and I love to play team competitions. Unfortunately, there seems to be no team based event suitable for Pro Tour players at the moment ( This is restricted to CC players to keep the competition balanced and this is based on the Beer League, while this has been shut down). Thus, I am thinking about setting up something myself. Of course, this only works if there are enough players interested in participating, which is why I am writing this post. Requirements: - play 4 extra TGCT rounds per week over multiple weeks (round robin league style competition) - report your scores in a dedicated thread here in the forum - be in a friendly and relaxed mood Please get in touch with me via PM in case you happen to be interested. Cheers! Kevin

-14, looking like a 3rd MC in a row, hoping for a mudslide to knock the late starters off course

3 rounds good, 1 round very poor. Sound familiar Rory McIlroy?? -31 overall, with a shocking -3 in the 3rd round. It seems to me that if I know I'm going to make the cut, then I just relax far too much knowing that I'm not gonna win the event. Think I need mental training! Good luck all π
