Totally forgot to play last week with all the hype surrounding the real life "Firethorn Legends Cup"
Was hoping to bounce back well and I did...until R4. Was comfortably in 3rd until I shot a poor -6, couldn't hole any putts and my tempo was a bit off. -42 to finish, potentially a top 10 but could've been better. Good luck this week folks!

Im rethinking my “set a calibration and play with it forever” strategy. If nothing else, it should give some more fun since the game play is different. We’ll see how it goes...

Felt much more competent this week but it may have been the course. -10, -9, -8, -7 to finish -34. Should make the cut and if it doesn’t I’ll definitely avoid demotion marks. See y’all next week.

Good morning, the Rob-O-Meter, obviously named after the famous pixel golfer rob4590, is a handy piece of equipment that helps me gauge my performance. I have it with me everytime I'm out on the course. Rob's scores are always in early, and he is usually a few strokes ahead of me, so that I feel good whenever my device indicates that I'm close to him on the leaderboard or even overtook him. Yesterday evening, I consistently kept looking at my Rob-O-Meter after each few holes, and the display steadily showed a green smiley and played that caracteristic reassuring 8-bit melody. And so I was sitting in the clubhouse happily watching the green smiley do its dance, as I beat Rob by one stroke. However, when I opened the forum thread to write a few words, I couldn't believe my eyes. The thread is full of people reporting sub -20 halftime scores! Obviously, I had to sleep one night first and sort my thoughts, so here I am writing about hoping at least to make the cut. Maybe, if this happens again, I have to consider sending in the Rob-O-Meter so that it gets serviced. Good luck and see you next week!

Good morning again. Apart from organizing the Hunt for the Golden Cow, I love to play team competitions. Unfortunately, there seems to be no team based event suitable for Pro Tour players at the moment ( This is restricted to CC players to keep the competition balanced and this is based on the Beer League, while this has been shut down). Thus, I am thinking about setting up something myself. Of course, this only works if there are enough players interested in participating, which is why I am writing this post. Requirements: - play 4 extra TGCT rounds per week over multiple weeks (round robin league style competition) - report your scores in a dedicated thread here in the forum - be in a friendly and relaxed mood Please get in touch with me via PM in case you happen to be interested. Cheers! Kevin

Im rethinking my “set a calibration and play with it forever” strategy. If nothing else, it should give some more fun since the game play is different. We’ll see how it goes... If you calibrate go for perfect/grey slow or perfect/grey fast tempo you'll find tempo easier to hit on irons. fast just improves your fast. Ie red fast becomes a grey fast. Big problem is this games is so setup related again on masters it a mess. Ive just treated myself to a new tv for ps5 delivery on thursday and played my tgct straight off the bat on new box. Usually if i get perfect it is left or right hand side of the white section. On new tv yesterday my perfects were polling dead central or slightly right and left but i was also getting slight grey fasts and slight slows. Rd 1 i shot -11. Putted like a dog as havent swung since last tgct event. 27 putts and ripped it tee to green should of been -16 at least. Rd 2 -16 and should of been better. Putter was better but missed a few shorties. Rd 3 -13 with a few bogies from nowhere missed chips by mm and missed putts coming back. Rd4 -10 to get me to -50. Made nothing on the front 9. -3 missed loads of putts and tempo was slightly off which cost me where the pins were on ledges. -50 is ok but feels like a massive missed chance. -60+ should be easy round here. Course is there for the taking. Nice setup tho. Ive heard the ps5 polls alot more points on the dualsense so that should be fun.

Finished -15, -12 for -52.
Had the same putting issues of the first two rounds, missing 7 pretty easy putts from short-mid range. Annoying but at least my tempo felt stable again.

Excited to hear feedback on the course. I was going for a lot of subtlety in these greens. Most of the pin locations are really easy, funnel pins, etc. I thought about ratcheting them up and by the looks of these scores, I probably made them a little too easy for Platinum. I typically design for the CC-type skill level and figured that was where this one would land. Back to the drawing board, I guess, if I want to really challenge the top players.

The wind was mild all event. With higher winds those greens would’ve caused a lot more trouble - plenty of good stuff there!

I would REALLY like to know HOW these top players are shooting -50's scores... Some of us that used to be on the PGA tour on TGC2 can barely break par.
Please explain.
