What a course. Definitely difficult, but also some negatives. Too many places where you can get stuck underneath the rocks (happened 2-3 times during practice rounds). And also places which could have been marked OB to make the course tougher, such as the beach right of the green on the short par 4 on the back nine. Shot -32 in CC-C, so I won't complain too much.
P.S. Seems like the tees are only ever moved up in R3... Maybe differentiate?

Well I picked the first really tough test to have my worst tempo day in a long time. This course did not treat my very fasts and very slows very well at all.
But the course is beautiful, and catcherman22 I absolutely love reading your intro and background post on it!!! That makes it feel more real, the way you worded everything. thank you for that, hope to see more posts like this!!

Fun course. I like how it can really make you pay for bad shots and rewards good shots. That par 3, I think hole 15, covered by water was tough!

CC-B I'm getting my game together. Rd 1 was sweet, -12. Rd 2 should have been equally as sweet, several missed putts and 2 bogeys and a -9. -21 after 36h.

Well I man-handled this course in practice rounds then of course crapped the bed in round 1. Frustrated

Really enjoyed this course. Good mix of a challenge with still being able to score low. Lots of different shots where you have to really pay attention to where the hazards/OBs are and try to plan accordingly. I'm in at -27 in CC-F.
R1: -5 R2: -9 R3: -7 R4: -6

I can't remember them exactly right now so I'm excited to see all the scorecards get loaded into TGC, but as an example during my second round I had a double bogey followed by an eagle! It all worked out though

I’ll be glad to see the back of Ayers Point for sure. -12 after 4 rounds and every shot was a grind! Don’t know what is what about the course just didn’t suit my eye and forced me to play shots I didn’t want to play. Nothing against the design, good attention to detail just a real tough track in my opinion. Some of these scores coming in are very low so hats off you guys. Roll on next week...

I got a birdie on that 15th in the second round. The pin was about the right distance for my 5 wood fully lofted up, luckily I got a perfect plane and tempo and ended up a few metres past the pin with a straight downhill putt. Could be completely different in the next two rounds though 🤣

Well I man-handled this course in practice rounds then of course crapped the bed in round 1. Frustrated This is how it often goes for me, but to an extreme this time. I shot a 57 in practice. By far the best round I’ve played on this game. For my official round, I came back down to earth for a 65.

By far the best round I’ve played on this game. For my official round, I came back down to earth for a 65. Was playing a practice round and was 7 under through 9 then thought I was ready to go. Jumped onto tournament and bogeyed hole 2 and tripled hole 3. Was a fight from there. Uggg. Going to try to go low in round 2 and make the cut.

I've enjoyed having the galleries there this week too. Makes it feel more like a tournament.
