Likely cut. -10 at the half and had to chip in for birdie on the 36th hole to get there. Struggled with the greens

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The best of times was starting off round two with three birdies to sit at -11 and "feelin' groovy" about making the cut. The worst of times was after a bogey on #13 to be at -9 and looking at missing the cut . Talk about folding like a cheap suit! Thankfully I managed to birdie three holes after that to finish at -12, which 🤞 is safe.

I need to see a putting therapist. Another disappointing 64 in round 3 when I hit the ball well. Missed like 5 putts inside of 12 feet. 40 something % birdie conversion rate just aint gonna get it done. I love this course man, so disappointed I haven't been able to play better. First tourney this year where on "Sunday" I got to play for a top 15-18 to get that 1 promotion point rather than trying to go for the win or a top 3 smh.

I know how you feel about getting the promotion marks. My first CC -B tournament this week and right there. Will play my R4 round here in a few probably need to shoot 62 to get top 15%.

Only reasons I say so disappointing is because I've consistently scored very low in practice rounds as I've become very comfortable with my gameplan throughout the course, and have mostly executed that gameplan, even missing where I don't mind missing. Just can't convert the putts. What's more maddening is theyre all because of tempo, read the putts correctly, ill take 3 "white" practice strokes then spaz out and hit a grey that comes up 2 inches short lmao. Also my dude UD Vindicate and I have been joined at the hip for the last 5 weeks and he's out here running away with it. So Ive probably been putting too much pressure on myself to try and catch him the first 3 rounds haha.

This is not to take anything away from Blackwater Run, it is very well designed. That said, I thought that the greens were a bit too roly-poly for the firm and very fast conditions of round four, one of them on the back nine was in a very orange slope, and they all seemed like they were on a small mound for such a huge green. Anyway, enough whinging from me, who is hanging on in Kinetic by one finger and expecting to drop back soon.

I even mentioned it in a pm to the designer that a couple of holes might cause trouble with the settings. I played that fourth round a few times, came close to slowing it down but in the end decided to leave the fast firm settings as an additional challenge as it did not affect all the holes. With a couple of courses coming soon with tough greens, it was also a little hint of what is to come. I hope your finger stays strong and you can hang on at least until we play your course

But every feedback helps! Thanks again and best of luck on the next tournament.

My play may just be an outlier, many folks shot lights out on this course, I am after all primarily a Lidar designer and I am not used to seeing those kind of greens IRL.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. my name is Kevin, I am the organizer of the Hunt for the Golden Cow, and I love to play team competitions. Unfortunately, there seems to be no team based event suitable for Pro Tour players at the moment ( This is restricted to CC players to keep the competition balanced and this is based on the Beer League, while this has been shut down). Thus, I am thinking about setting up something myself. Of course, this only works if there are enough players interested in participating, which is why I am writing this post. Requirements: - play 4 extra TGCT rounds per week over multiple weeks (round robin league style competition) - report your scores in a dedicated thread here in the forum - be in a friendly and relaxed mood Please get in touch with me via PM in case you happen to be interested. Cheers! Kevin A little more advertising: The Team League (still to be named) will be taking place! If nothing unexpected happens, I will set up the details of the competition next week, so that we can hopefully start in TGCT-week 11. There is still one more spot available, so feel free to join by sending me a PM! The league will play official TGCT tournaments, so if you practice the other TGCT tournaments anyway, why not add a little friendly competitiveness, right? Cheers, Kevin
