All my charts for full swings are for me hitting FAST! Starting this week's event FAST was almost impossible to get. I had never seen so many slows in my life. Anybody else have this or was it my biorhythms or something. I kept getting those dang Perfects and it killed me as my ball would land on the right side of the fairway/rough LOL
Just curious. Heck I even calibrated for the first time in a month.

Some of those that use that method deliberately calibrate slower than their normal swing so that their "natural" swing becomes a fast tempo result.

I don’t deliberately swing fast. It’s natural. I was just surprised my natural swing for the first hundred rounds changed and I had a hard time getting to fast. When I went to calibrate instead of going to the left I had 10 slow swings. It was weird. Totally messed me up for this weeks event and missed the cut ( after getting a promo last week) Could not get to the left side of fairways
Maybe it’s the first sign of Covid?

I can hit a fast if I want to, but usually I do it by mistake, same with the slows. Most of the time I can feel when I've missed the mark though, it's not very often I get a result that is way different to what I feel I'm doing with the stick.
I played in the platinum event this week for some practice, there were a couple of holes there where playing a fast off the tee works due to the way the fairway goes. On a couple of other holes I'd play fast to counteract the wind. Otherwise though I aim for perfects or a smidge either side.

Still disappointed with the swing. I have a great chance of winning the CCB for the first time. Since I started playing fast and very quickly. The result appears, but it is not satisfactory to play like this. If I try PP, I lose the cut line. It's difficult!

Turn off the feedback, and then your swing is just your swing, whatever combination of line, sidespin, and tempo works for you. Screw the game giving you crap about good shots !

Feedback? LOl. One of the first things I turned off. I corded the controller and it smoothed out.

I only hit it fast when I'm trying for slow.

Heck I even calibrated for the first time in a month. I had the opposite. I always strive for perfect, but I get a mix of fast and slows most of the time. Last tournament, I missed the cut for the first time, my typical swing always went fast/very fast. I had to slow my thumb way below normal motion to get off the fast/very fast. I know I get random fast/very fast, but this was unusually consistent. Sort of makes it hard to enjoy playing, when controls react so inconsistently. I'm a bad enough player without the control deviation.

Curious, when I first started playing 2k21 it had a tutorial. It didn't say anything about aiming 30 yards right and play for the red fast. Why do so many people go against the way the game was designed to be played.

Why do so many people go against the way the game was designed to be played. Most would agree that getting a red fast consistently is easier than consistently getting a Perfect/Gray. Makes getting repeatable results much likelier than playing for Perfect. Not sure if the red fast "zone" is bigger than Perfect/Gray, but it sure seems that way. In the very least, playing for the Red Fast all but completely eliminates getting a Slow, thereby allowing a one-way miss. Because the sport of golf's #1 goal is to hit the ball where you intend, the Red Fast strategy is the shortest and easiest path to achieving that goal. It's a sad state of online golf gaming, but for many it's their only way to achieve consistency in a game full of inconsistency. To me, the failure to implement some randomness into Red Fast/Slow misses on Master level is the most glaring blunder in TGC franchise history.

You can say the same about mathematical putting by counting how fast the lines on the green are running and then using the vibration on the controller for speed. Also IRL you aim to the right side of the fairway and draw the ball to the left, just like TGC, have you ever seen a pro golfer hit a straight drive? Probably not

As far as mathematics go with putting or any part of the game, no thanks. I just look and swing and hope for the best.

I agree. The only charts I have (which are sort of useless as I changed clubs) was to see how far my ball ACTUALLY went. But as soon as I switched clubs those are not as accurate. watching some guys put is less exciting then watching paint dry- counting lines, taking steps and then 10 practice swings putting.
I prefer "feel" then math.

Ironic that in the last game, being a flicker or pusher was taboo, but in this game, playing the fast is acceptable. I wonder if the data allows for policing that, or if it's all good since the sites gone "competitive"?
