You can let off some steam or tell about some great (or not so great) shots. Some of your answers will be used in Tournament recaps. Have fun, keep it clean! Reminder: Please include your leaderboard name in your post or in the Tour Name portion of your forum profile so that our reporters can make the connection between your Press Tent posts and your leaderboard names. Thx! Questions (answer as many or as few as you like) - What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
- What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
- What did you think of the course?
- How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?

(European Tour Reporter Bob is waiting for someone to enter the Press Tent.)
Q. Excuse me sir, can you get me a beer while I wait for another golfer to interview?
A. I'm not the waiter, I'm PGA tour professional Jason Rosol.
Q. Really??? I've never heard of you.
A. Apparently you are one of those fans who only follow golfers who are "in contention" or "playing on the weekend". If you were a hard core golf fan who watches the Golf Channel on Thursday morning you would know who I was.
Q. Well most of my responsibilities involve the European Tour, so I don't know many of the crappy PGA golfers. Anyways, what are you doing at this tourney?
A. I've been struggling to make cuts on the PGA, so I figured a change of scenery might help. Plus, once I heard about the conditions of the Shakespeare I had to make the trip. This type of golf appeals to me.
Q. So how did the round go?
A. Surprisingly well. I managed to shoot a 65, which should place me near the top of the leaderboard for round 1. My putter caught fire on the back nine, as I made a few long putts for birdie. Unfortunately I don't think the camera crew knew who I was either, as I haven't seen video of it anywhere.
Q. Well, good luck in round 2.
A. Thanks. My plan is to go back to my hotel room and do nothing but focus on my strategy for round 2.

Hi Brad, you seemed to be avoiding the press the last few weeks. Why is that?
To be honest Bob, your name is Bob isn't it? My press interviews are pretty boring and tame compared with a few others on here. So I thought I would just vent in the locker room instead. Oh I see, you're right it has been a bit wild. Anyway, how did your first round go today?
Not good. I played a few practice rounds and I was lighting it up, everything was going for me, nice bounces, long putts dropping and the wind seemed to be in a favourable direction all the time. Then came the day of the tournament and I kept missing my spots and leaving myself in awkward positions. I didn't play badly, just not as good as I could have. I missed three putts inside of 6 feet, one particularly deflating one on 18 after a fantastic approach. 66 is about the worst score I could have shot today, but it isn't a disaster I'll just have to improve in the next round and see where that leaves me? The only positive is that after being -2 through 12, I didn't panic and managed to shoot a respectable score in the end. What did you think of the course?
I loved it, a difficult course where you have manage your ball and play smart golf. It looks beautiful too. Plans for round two?
I need to go lower than round one, it's as simple as that. If I fail to do that I will be completely out of the tournament. Good luck.
Thank you.

Acid Flashback, a quick moment thanks. I hear you lost the cricket final! And my birds also say you were evicted from the game before the first ball was bowled! Lies. Yes we lost the cricket to the better team on the day. But the rest is pure fabrication on your part.
So your trip to Australia didn't go well? It wen't fine, Bob. Apart from being stripped and searched at the airport because I didn't declare some chicken bones I didn't even know I had, the trip went fine. Oh yes and the drug dogs in Australia aren't the kind you pat on the head and scratch their tummies. Nasty things they are. Back to the golf though ok Bob, I have a payback for Andi to plan. Possibly including Brionnes drum sticks.
You shot a two under in round one. What were your highlights? Well Bob, I would just like to throw out a big Thank You to the designer of this beautiful course. Absolutely loved it. Hole one starts off pretty standard. Small landing area, long approach into a green with pin back right. Par, OMG, Par. Ecstatic. Hole two sunk a 42 foot putt for birdy, baby. Hole three is where the real fun begins. A par three over water, best shot is to play a draw, but don't over do it or you are in trouble. Thank your lucky stars if you walk away with a par on this puppy. Hole six plays a nice fade off the tee because if you shoot at it you are not going to hold the green, well not if you are me anyways!
A 40 foot putt Acid! Is your putting improving? Not at all. I still missed a whole bunch of 8-12 footers. A whole bunch. Didn't even come close on half of them.
Chipping? Rubbish.
Sand play? Great for castles Bob, not for golfing.
Anything else to say before I let you get that beer? Yeah, good to see Brad back in the tent and that guy with the real bright pants watching the basketball. Where's a good fish and chip shop around these parts?

YOUR CURRENTLY SITTING AS LEADER IN THE CLUBHOUSE, NOT DONE THAT FOR A WHILE?Steady Bob, steady, but yes it does feel a lil odd being so high, hope I don't get vertigo, lol . But it also feels great, I just hope I can continue in rounds 3+4 and finish strongly going into the masters next week. OH YES THE INVITES WENT OUT YESTERDAY FOR THE MASTERS, ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY?NO Bob, I thought i'd give it a miss, what do you think, numpty. YEAH, SILLY QUESTION, HAVE YOU SEEN ACID FLASHBACK?No not since I saw him running to the tee , but i'm keeping my eyes peeled as he seems to have some sort of vendetta against me this week , according to his press tent interview. PLANS FOR NOW?Finish this interview and eat these fish n chips, so see ya Bob. OK BYE FOR NOW.

Hi Brad, an improvement today but you don't look best pleased?
An improvement for sure yeah. I just don't seem to be able to take my chances on this course in tournament play. How do you play hole 1? I have tried playing to the right, draw it in and have even tried to to land it in the rough to the left of the green to get a chance of chipping it in from there. I bogied it today to get me off on the wrong foot. I tried the draw, over did it and plugged it in the bunker. From there I had no shot at all, I couldn't go at the pin so I played my flop shot to the left of the green to leave myself a makeable 8 yard chip, which I narrowly missed. 64 is a pretty good score here, but you clearly aren't happy with it are you?
I agree that 64 is a decent score, it's just that again I should have gone lower, I am struggling on the front nine and not being decisive enough with my putting. This is a course which requires a lot of skill but you also need a whole lot of luck with the bounces and rolls that you get. In practice I was getting those bounces, I couldn't do any wrong and even managed to shoot 59 in one of my rounds. The ball would just about stay on a shelf instead of just rolling off them like they have been this week. A course of fine margins where I these little things will see you have a chance of winning or finish in the top five, which is where I seem to be finding myself a lot lately. One good thing is that I am just ahead of world number 1 Brionne at the half way stage, so I must be doing something right! Or him something wrong? Thanks for your time and good luck over the weekend.
Thanks, I am going to need it with the stellar play of Andi Smith so far this week, he is on fire.

(Golfer/Waiter Jason Rosol walks into the press tent wearing sunglasses)
Q. Well you look a little rough Jason. Was it that bad out there today?
A. Today wasn't the problem, last night was. I was leaving the course when I ran into this guy called Acid Flashback, who invited me out for a few beers.. Next thing you know he's explaining all of the intricacies of cricket to me. Then a bunch of guys where singing karaoke, and it was one big party.
Q. Sounds like quite a night
A. It was, but I'm not used to this. Over on the PGA Tour everyone keeps to themselves and only worries about the golf. It is quite a bit different over here.
Q. When did you get back to the hotel?
A. Hotel? I went straight from the bar back to the course. I don't know if you noticed but I am wearing the exact same outfit as I was yesterday.
Q. I just thought you were poor.
A. Well I am, but I can at least afford another outfit.
Q. So that all out of the way, how did the round go today?
A. Considering the circumstances, not bad. Managed to hold my own for a respectable 70. It was a roller coaster round with an eagle, birdies, par, bogeys and even a double bogey.
Q. What was the highlight?
A. Would have to be my chip in eagle on 17. Unfortunately I gave that stroke back on 18 with my 3-putt bogey.
Q. Anything else?
A. Yeah, I smell fish and chips. Where can I get some? I'm starving.

How does it feel to be in last place on the leaderboard?
It really sucks, I went +2 in the first and had never played the Sunday version and rushed through and hate-played my 2nd round and got a +11 for my troubles. Brutally bad. I had a putt trickle down the hole lip out the edge and role down the entirety of the green. If the greens are gonna be this firm in the future, I just wish that the tiers wouldnt be this extreme.
Plans for the weekend?
Going to watch the final four and prepare for next weeks small-purse event. Hoping with a lot of the big dogs gone I can pull out a decent finish as the greens are not concrete, but I realize this is needed to counteract scores, once HB figures out more firmness settings this could get really fun.

Hi there chap, why so glum? Everyone else is as cherry as a pie. A pie? Its 5 degrees below zero mate. Justamush, Andi and a few of the locals went to the Cat and Dog tavern around mid afternoon. Did you know lads from around this part go to the pub at lunch time and stay there all day? Well we stumbled out at 4 am one hand full of a pint and the other full of mashed spud and gravy, a local delicacy I'm told. Apart from that I feel like a cut cat.
Can I get you a cup of tea chap. One sugar or two? Tea? Gimme a cold beer mate, errr make that a warm beer. Gah what the hell, not a milkshake son. Your beer pulling skills are worse than my golf skills. Where's Dick the barman anyway?
So how did you go today anyway? Bloody rubbish to be fair. Shot a fiver-over par 77 to sit at three-over for the tournament. Left a lot of shots out there. I played one practice round on the first course but no practice on the second course.
Plans for the weekend? Well mate, Im gonna catch some football, rugby and league hopefully over the next three or four days, probably from the Cat and Dog tavern.
"Tempt not a desperate man" She'll be right mate, a couple of brews and some greasies and we'll be right as rain.
** I had written a lot more but closed the page on accident without posting lol

Strutting into the tent, our clubhouse leader at the halfway point, Tom Morgan.
A beautiful pair of bogey-free 63's for a total of -18 at the halfway point. Comments?
Don't look now but guess who's back in town! Wooooo! That's right, Bob. BOGEY-FREE. I'd venture a guess that I'm either alone or in very small company in that regard. There are bogies-in-waiting all over the place on this beast of a course. Those fairways feel like walking on solid granite. I'm gonna need some sole inserts - my feet are killing me.
Tight leaderboard and some top players right on your heels. Any concerns heading into the final rounds?
Concerns? Nothing that a few chest chops and a figure-four leg-lock won't rectify.
I see. Well, good luck this weekend
Only the lucky ones get to steal the show.

Next in after his 3rd round it Andi Smith, HI ANDI, YOU GOOD?Hi Bob yeah i'm good thanks, you?, oh has Jason Rosol recovered yet? IM OK THANKS, HAVE NOT SEEN JASON SINCE ROUND 2, WHY?Well Myself, Jason and Acidman had a few beers in the Frog And Orange the other evening, and Jason maybe a PGA tour pro, but unfortunately he is a EURO amateur when it comes to partying. WHY WHAT HAPPENED?Jason got us barred from the Frog and Orange by going all Coyote Ugly on us and started singing 'Cant Fight The Moonlight', prancing up and down the bar , don't get me wrong it was funny as anything Acidman and Myself fell straight of our bar stools , but now we have to have a beer in the Cat and Dog instead. HE DID SEEM A LITTLE FRAZZLED AFTER RD2, ANYWAY HOW WAS YOUR ROUND THREE?Well Bob sitting tied 2nd after 2 I suffered what we would say a bit of a nose bleed , not used to being so high , anyway I started with a Birdie on 1, but then the red began to show, Bogey on 2+3, to go to +1, but then Birdies on 4-5-6-8 gave me a -3 front 9. RIGHT AND AFTER THE TURN?Birdies on 11-13-15, Bogey on 16 , Birdie on 17, for a 66 -6 round total. YOUR STILL SITTING SECOND, CAN YOU WIN THIS?Going to give it my all in round 4 Bob, but Mike Ballon leads the way at present, plus WGR no1 Brionne Beaumont-Thomas and Tom 'Ric Flair' Morgan still to finish there 3rd rounds, so I shall just whack the white thing and see what happens at the end of the day. PLANS FOR NOW?Just off down the Cat and Dog, Acidman has booked himself in for the weekend so im going down now to have a great big full English Breakfast. OK WELL THANKS FOR YOUR TIME ANDI, SEE YOU AFTER ROUND 4.Thanks Bob see you then.

Jason Rosol walks into the Press Tent after shooting a 70 in round 3
Q. You look much better today
A. I feel much better today. I got 2 whole hours of sleep last night!!! Unfortunately, I almost overslept and missed my tee time.
Q. Is that why we saw you running towards the first tee? I guess that might also explain why you are wearing the same shirt again.
A. That is why you saw me running towards the tee. I think my cab driver broke every law in the book trying to get me here in time. Unfortunately, since I missed the cut the last three weeks I didn't have any money to tip him. So I gave him the only thing that I had that he wanted, the shirt that I was wearing. Luckily I had stuffed my shirt from rounds 1 and 2 into my bag, or I may have been golfing shirtless!
Q. I don't know what courses you are used to playing on, but shirts are required on the European Tour
A. Really? I guess you learn something new everyday.
Q. So what is this I hear about Coyote Ugly?
A. I don't want to talk about it. It was quite embarrassing.
Q. So how did your round go today?
A. Honestly, I can't remember. I think the partying the last few days has killed my memory. I know I shot 70, and right now I'm in 23rd. I'm hoping with a good round 4 I can maybe get into the top 15-20.
Q. Well I doubt that will happen, but good luck with that.
A. Thanks

I believe Andy is quite safe at the top.
I just laid the largest egg of all time - a 70 in the final round - the worst round I've shot since last year. Zero birdies on the front side - only one birdie on the par 5's - 4 lipped sub-10 footers - on the wrong side of the pin on EVERY approach - constantly faced with pitch shots downwind to a downslope; couldn't get anything close.
%8$@#!!!!
