My computer keeps crashing due to a memory issue. I suspect it might be a graphics card and was looking for something that would give me some high level performance and not crash all the time. Just curious what others are using.

Here are my systems specs:
Intel Core i5-4440 3.1 GHz, Geforce GTX 1070 8 GB, 16 GB PC-1600 DDR3 RAM, Windows 10 64 bit.
It works really well with 2K21 and is very stable. I can run probably at least 80% of the courses I play in 2160p @ 50 - 60 FPS (I turn vsync OFF in the display settings). It performs so well on my PC that it's just about turned me off to the XBox One X version, which is locked at 30 FPS.

Cool. Thanks. I think my video card is a little out dated. Your set up looks like it can handle the performance.

I’ve been struggling with my laptop for designing in the new game, just ordered a pc custom build and I was advised to go 16gb RAM as a minimum and the Nvidia RTX 2080 and above is apparently kick ass if you want to run at 60fps and 4k

I upgraded to the GTX 1070 8GB this past spring after running with a GTX 1060 3GB for the previous two years. I'd probably be sticking to 1440p with 2K21 if I still had the 1060. I'm really surprised at how much better this game looks in 2160p, versus 1440p. If you want a good litmus test of how good your system is when you get it, load up the licensed version of Quail Hollow CC. If you can maintain 60 FPS on that course at 2160p, you've got quite a beast. My system runs that course averaging the high 30s to low 40s at 2160p. It even stays in the low to mid 50s there at 1440p!?

This game has such low demand for cpu usage you can get away with a mediocre cpu, if you have any interest in design however you want the beefiest GPU you can get your hands on. The speed in which you can plant in the course designer is directly tied to your Gpu's VRAM.
I5-6500, 32Gb RAM (I play cities Skylines), GTX 1080, played on 1440p. This game is made in the Unity Game engine (same one used to make Cities skylines) so it uses a decent amount of RAM too, I really recommend 16gb minimum

I have 32 gb of ram, this game never seems to use more than 10 gb looking at my fps monitoring software. Not tried course design so not sure how much that effects ram usage. Using a GTX 1080 GPU and a Ryzen 9 3900X CPU. Play this game at 3440x1440 ultra ultrawide. Fps range from 40 to 65 max settings.

I went with 32 gb to future proof, read somewhere that 32 gb really helps Microsoft Flight Simulator's performance.

Glad I found this post. Think I got the answer I was looking for. I’ve been playing and designing on the PS4 but have a decent rig PC that I thought about getting the game for just to design. Think it’s got a I E-5 processor and 32 GB ram with Nvidia 1070GTX card. Think it’s 8GB. Really hoping to know what my plant speeds would be in relation to the PS4? Thanks!
