Somebody let me know when we do something right. That would be nice to hear for a change of pace. Players give TestimonialsI agree with McBogga, how was this not "fair"? If the course venue changed at the last minute then everyone who played had the same amount of time available to practice (or not). When our site ran tourneys for years the whole practice thing was frowned heavily upon. We didn't post the venue until the day the tourney started and if you we online playing that course after the tourney started then that was the round that counted. Yes, pros can practice and do sometimes get a round or 2 in before a tournament. But it just goes as yet another reason these scores are so wickedly low when I am seeing players hit 25-50 practice rounds pre-tourney. While most of us don't have the time (or desire) to do so, fair play to them for utilizing what is available to score lower. I personally take a huge amount of pride when I see myself finish lower in a tourney compared to someone else who has practiced 20-50 times more than myself. I'm not whining that others play more than me nor am I bothered that some take this website/tour to great heights of importance...I'm personally just not going to pitch a fit over mistyping my score, forgetting to register for a tournament, course selection, WGR rankings, pin placements, or any of the other things that I have seen winged about on here. It's just a game, the website is free, and the value is great. If you are finding yourself angry more than happy over a leisurely hobby then I don't know what to say.

I find this entire thread comical. Almost as comical as the Ball Squirt crap. Best Line: "At this point I'm actually considering asking that this tournament doesn't count" In my defense, i said that when I hadn't been on line in 4 days and didn't read that there was an issue. I thought that someone had made a major error and not notified anyone. If that was the case then the proper resolution was to not count it. As it was there was communication, I apologized for missing it, but it was said. In the end, and as a person who has ran multiple types of tournaments through my life, if the TD or the organization that makes the events, if we or myself makes a major error that is unfair to the field, we would often offer refunds or rerun the tournament after correcting our mistakes. The entire field played the same course. It was not unfair. Plus, this is just a computer game right? I find people getting so "worked up" over a computer game comical. sorry but I do. Everyday it seems someone is complaining about something.

Somebody let me know when we do something right. That would be nice to hear for a change of pace. You did everything right. No complaints at all. For me personally, it is getting even more funny/interesting as the tour became more challenging the last couple of weeks! When birdie feels like victory, that's absolutely the way to go!

Sorry for the tone of the post, but the difficulty of the course is bad enough without having to also deal with pins that are completely foreign to you. No disrespect intended, but that is exactly what a multi-pin setup is supposed to be.

Somebody let me know when we do something right. That would be nice to hear for a change of pace. Major, 95% of the time, I agree with TGC TOURS, and am usually among the first to heap praises. What has been done here is absolutely amazing, and all the staff deserve kudos! I must say that the uproar over this event is just plain stupid. There is really nothing wrong with the course at all. The version we played was adjusted pre-event. It is the same course, just different pins. IRL when pros play a practice round, they do not have the exact pin placements, why should we. I do have a bit of a concern with next weeks EURO venue, that I have mentioned in another thread and was called a whiner. So we won't even go there. Bottom line. TGC TOURS are doing for the most part an excellent job, and greatly appreciated. On occasion, mistakes may be made, but that's life. Keep up the good work.

Wait 'til you play Swindon next week, if you haven't already and you're not going to the masters, get in some rounds if you even hope to go under par....

Everything under Par is a good score at Swindon, that's right.
You might end up above Par... but it's manageable.
Was way above Even on my first round. Played -5 and -4 after that. Once again, you just have to think about your shots and execute accordingly. If you don't, you might make a Bogey (or worse). But hey... that's Golf!

Could always take my approach: don't even practice, play and accept the course, pin placements, and conditions for what they are, have fun, and remember it's just a video game. Open a can of beer (or vodka in my case), sit back, and enjoy.

I just played Swindon, really don't see what all the fuss is about tbh. It's firm but not particularly long and the slopes in the greens aren't crazy. Put it in the right place and there are plenty of birdies to be made

People are really playing 20 plus practice rounds? God how i wish i was 12 again lying in bed all day alternating between practice rounds and jerking off i like the idea of just one practice round but in fairness if u are willing to put in the effort then good on u for being good. Generally the best at anything are the hardest workers. I have one practice and just chip around the green but not a lot goes in tbh. I get frustrated that i cant compete yet but it doesnt take any of the joy away.
