Yup! Just posted this in my course thread: <<Quote>> Getting nothing but positive feedback so I'm a happy bunny although oddly it's not been deemed "tour worthy" in the database.... all depends which reviewer picked it up I suppose.
The last non "tour worthy" course I had was 10 (ten) designs ago way back in the TGC2 days (July 2017).<<End Quote>> Same style, playability, spit n polish that I've used successfully in the recent past - no different to anything I've published since 2019... odd, very odd decision by someone but; hey! ho! watcha gonna do... start your own website? Either that or stop the monthly donations!!! We'll see - never know... "Approved" doesn't mean it won't get a venue - right? If it's been that long, I'd encourage you to try it again. I would love to take 4 spins on that on the Beer League (though I know it could be used at upper levels). You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

AvakracAndy, I see you've kicked off this week's Beer League Tour. How we normally work is that you post your scores in this thread as you play them to make life easier to track your scores for entering onto the spreadsheet. You can also add a few pearls of wisdom as to how things went. If you ever miss the cut, which the way you are playing is unlikely, I'll need a screenshot of your final summary. Cheers in advance. ok sorry this is all new to me but will get a screen shot or photo for you tonight.

You can't... you get one chance from one of the reviewers who deems it "Approved" or "Approved & Tour Worthy" ... Then it's down to the schedulers but they rarely deviate from the "Tour Worthy" courses. Occasionally a scheduler will PM you & ask you to make specific changes & republish so it meets the criteria but I'm at a loss of what could possibly be wrong with Sinopia Valley... Maybe it was too short at 6,740 yards?

My two (so far) Tour Worthy courses have not been put on. You are better off asking the schedulers to take a look. FWIW, I'm scheduling Sinopia in my next XB Seniors season.

That seems like a hole in the system if you can't get feedback on a course to find out what kept it from being tour worthy (I am not familiar with the process at all). I'm not sure about the whole process or who I need to advocate to (maybe catcherman22 ?) but that course definitely belongs on a tour and if it doesn't I'm curious to know what is holding it back.

Basically, Avakrac just tag SkyBlueBen with @ in front of his name with your scores as they come out. It's great to hear what you thought of your round, the course or anything else you might like to add as it's just a great way to build camaraderie within the group. It should end up looking like this:

SkyBlueBenRound 1 at Juniper Ridge:-8 Just missed about 3 or 4 putts for birdie but over all, enjoy my round and the course. Lets see how we go in round two with high winds. Good luck all.

I suppose reviewing a course is like looking at art what one person finds attractive another one doesn’t. Assessing a course is very subjective, if your course got approved but not thought of as tour worthy then I don’t think I will be putting my newest one up for appraisal.

ATTENTION Brew Crew Designers: Last weekend, something happened during the stream and I took the weekend to reflect on what happened and what it might mean. Here's the backstory and here's what I've come up with: In TGC1, a guy named Griff did course reviews/competitions and he brought me onto his team to play the course and add color commentary while he would discuss why a course was rated a particular way. I very much enjoyed getting to play these brilliant courses while getting to share my raw thoughts as "the average player" as I don't have a designer eye (I wasn't involved in the judging, just in charge of playing, talking, and streaming). So on Saturday, when I was getting fed the courses, it tickled that little pleasure center of getting to show courses in a positive light. With winter coming around, I should have some more free time so I thought that maybe I could a Brew Crew Showcase where I ask for courses from Brew Crew Designers and I stream a round on them to talk about how awesome they are. Obviously, I'm not a designer or reviewer so this wouldn't be a review or a competition but rather, an average golfer playing a round on a course while sharing his raw thoughts and hopefully bringing some positive attention to the course. This idea is nothing without time and without designers that are willing to put their work on stage and let me ramble on about them so if you are a Brew Crew member and designer (or Celtic Wolf because I saw him post in here 🙂🙂) please let me know if you would be interested in me showcasing your course. Again, this isn't a competition so if you have a putt-putt, par 3, goofy, etc. course, I will play anything!

Cheers lessangster ... nice investigation & results. Well that puts the distance question to bed. Totally understand the "subjective assessment" - I'm just flummoxed how my previous 9 all made "tour worthy" status & Sinopia didn't when it's modeled & executed via my tried, trusted & successful design criteria.
