It's gonna be a bloody long season if this form continues. Can't handle the Pro difficulty any better than I could Masters, worse in fact.
Keep plugging away Pete, even Pro can be tricky when the tempo isn't being too kind and the course doesn't suit your game. I had a very quick practice on Master and struggled in a few places. Hopefully Pro will be more forgiving for me!!
Played 6 Master level rounds before this and spent the front 9 of Round 1 adjusting (lesson learned) before getting into the swing of things. A little late to save the round.
Round 2 started off on fire but rather burnt myself out. Decent round ruined by an over ambitious drive at the green on the par 4 15th resulting in tumbling down the hillside OOB. What with the CC course this week and this I seem to have spent a hell of a lot of time OOB!!
Nice relaxing couple of rounds though. Enjoyed it.
I started off on fire in R1 with a good XB1 tempo and reached the turn at -7. However the Slow tempo started to kick in on the back 9 and I had to fight to get two more birdies but finished with a bogey on 18 after a random Very Slow sent my tee shot into the rubbish. However I would taken that -8 before I started so I should be happy.
XB Seniors TGCT50+ Rivals President Beer League player & Brew Crew member PGA2K21: -Bac Son Valley, Vietnam (2021 National Treasure) -Mt Honey Botanic Gardens -The Fingers Escarpment (2020 CCDC) -Wavebreak Spit GC -Bhavacakra GC, Nepal (2018 National Treasure) -Kakadu Wetlands (2018 Fantasy Theme Challenge - 2nd) -Kentash Bay (2016 Web Finals DC) -Mount Panorama Bathurst 18 (2016 Summer Showdown) -Propellor Island Archipelago
Probably rushed these a little and ended up as a bit of a mixed bag of good, bad and ugly. All done for the week though and got my 5 minutes of fame sitting at the top of the Brew Crew LB (I know, only because I'm the first to finish but it still counts!!).
