Please ReadThe Brew Crew thread is an integral part of the group and we have always encouraged players to join in the fun. It is the focus of the group but also the place where your scores are reported to make it easier for the scorekeeper (me) to collect the results of players rounds. I don't want to have to be trawling through the TGCT leaderboards to pick up scores. From next week if a player fails to report their scores on this thread by the TGCT deadline, Rounds 1 & 2 by Wednesday's TGCT cut deadline and Rounds 3 & 4 by Saturday's TGCT end of week deadline, they will be DQ for the week. Again we are placing the onus on the player to save Admin work. I hope you all find that agreeable.Season 5 ProposalsIt has been mentioned on a number of occasions that the huge gulf in abilities in this group can cause problems in making match up's a fair fight. Without the time available to go into a handicap system it has been suggested that we arrange the fixtures so that players are matched with opponents of similar skill. An idea was put forward by Ken W coggin66 and we have taken that on board and suggest that Season 5 will be arranged as follows:-
I don't think we have enough active players to consider an expansion to 32 players so we would have 24 players placed into 4 groups of 6. Each team gets one player from each group. Mike katana22 will work his magic on the draft. 6 captain's would be appointed and their job would be to simply rally their team along and deal with any issues throughout the season. Acceptable Ashton Ashton Fox ?
Fixtures to be organised into 3 rounds of pairs and one singles as follows:-
R1 1 and 2 vs 1 and 2 3 and 4 vs 3 and 4
R2 1 and 3 vs 1 and 3 2 and 4 vs 2 and 4
R3 1 and 4 vs 1 and 4 2 and 3 vs 2 and 3
R4 1 vs 1 2 vs 2 3 vs 3 4 vs 4
It's a little repetitive but it does ensure your matches involve a player of similar ability. I'd like to do Round 4 as match play (too much work to do it all match play) as a little added fun and value. For the individual, players would be grouped into 4 Divisions so you would be competing directly against players of a similar skill level. Please feel free to offer suggestions of how it could be improved.
It's the only way we believe we can address the different abilities within the group. Even on this basis I'm sure the top 6 and bottom 6 will still cause Mike some headaches!!
I'd appreciate the group's thoughts on this proposal. If we receive a positive response it will be implemented. I appreciate it's quite early to be considering next season but it would need a complete revamp of the spreadsheet so leaving plenty of time for the work to be done. Whatever you decide to do for next season is cool. All I know is I’m in for next season

IGolfBad You get the Major award this week for you posts regarding my knockers Thank you for the recognition and this very high quality award. I’d like the record to show that the knockers in question, as demonstrated above, were of very high quality. For more high quality posts about Carol’s qualities, the admins simply need to schedule more matches between the two of us. And Carol... Thanks for the mammaries...

As the lone representative of the bottom tier, I look forward to five straight weeks of playing with myself.

I appreciate it's quite early to be considering next season but it would need a complete revamp of the spreadsheet so leaving plenty of time for the work to be done. Les lessangster has suggested we go two pairs and two singles matches per week with the No’s 1 and 2 seeds and No’s 3 and 4 seeds facing off against each other both in pairs and singles (pairs 1 and 2 vs 1 and 2, singles 1 vs 2 and 1 vs 1 etc ). Again it’s a little repetitive but it would minimise mismatches. This would be easier to implement but it would be too time consuming to do match play for Rounds 3 and 4. So it’d be total score. Very similar to what we did in Season 1 though for the individual I’d like to keep the 4 divisions so for those titles you are competing with players of a similar skill level. Preferable?

Whatever is easiest to keep track of for the scoring committee of one. That would be Les’ lessangster idea Art. No real change to spreadsheet currently utilised, just need to rehash fixtures and edit individual sheet 👍
