I don’t take offence that easily Carol I’ve always thought Ben did it all, now I know who to come to when my courses aren’t selected 🤣🤣😜 I thought everybody realised Carol was doing it. I'm sure I've mentioned it a few times. Carol is in charge of the Society and David K @bovakian is kindly sorting the Individual knock out. It's been a massive help. You probably have mentioned it but my memory is shocking 😂😂 |

I want to apologize for being a 👻 lately but as I'm learning in life, everything happens in it's time and place for a reason. With no captains, I'm not as into this season as I normally am and it's a good thing because life decided to swamp me from all angles and my time and energy for of my leisurely outlets are zapped. The biggest blow was this weekend when my dad had a mild stroke (his second in 2 years) and while he's recovering quite well, it's added to the laundry list of upper cuts life has thrown at me lately. Overall, I'm and we're okay; we'd just like a damn break to let our hearts, minds, and souls recoil for a second. I just wanted to offer an explanation of where I'm at so no one thought I was mad or lying in a digital ditch. The bills are still being paid at Fox5 but it's time to take a pause and keep the studio lights off for a bit. Maybe when I'm feeling a bit more Foxy, I'll get back in so I can see how you all are doing but for now I'm going to keep a quiet yet watchful eye on things here. I'm hoping this storm passes soon. 🤞 🦊🍺 Wishing your father recovers quickly and very sorry life is throwing you curve balls, but we are a team and we always here to support you in any shape or form. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to relieve you of some burdens you might have here until you are in a better place. Hugs |

SkyBlueBen Pub Crawl rounds 2 & 3 Round 2 started off with a bang. And by bang, I mean a giant fart noise. Parred the first, then stepped to the tee at #2.... hit a slow on the drive. Ball careens right, hits the side of the hill that abuts the fairway, richochets into the water. I utter a mild expletive and prepare to drop. Nope. Game makes me re-tee it. OK. Tee off again, this time, I play for the intentional fast. Slow again. Same result, into the drink, but this time, it landed nearly on the fairway before bouncing into the water. Surely I can take a drop here, no? No. Re-tee again, and now I'm still in the tee box lying 4. "Parred" the hole from there, but the result was a big fat 8 on the scorecard (hi, Art Vandelay .) Played pretty well from that point on, going -11 over the last 16 holes, but thanks to that frigging snowman at #2, the final result was.. R2 : -7 (65) Round 3, basically played as well as I did in round 2, but without the GD 8. R3 : -11 (61) So far, through 3 rounds, I'm -35 on holes 1-19 and 21-54 and +4 on the 20th. I can only hope that doesn't cost us points in the doubles match; it's surely cost me any chance I had of winning my first-ever TGC-sanctioned event. If I finish within 4 shots of the winner, I'm going to be really annoyed.
