Art Vandelay WutpaAfter what had been a good week for Bova, R4 kicked him in the balls straight away on the first tee with a super big fast into the water. The super big fast, having not been seen much during the week, came back regularly through the round so scoring became nigh on impossible. Oh! Found Timing Round Just to prove the round above was an anomily I hit a bogey free 9 under on TGCTours CCA just before and then did this round on OFTR straight after.

S11, W3: Rest of the World, Round 4 @ Call None MilderI knew I'd have to be on my best form to get past ss11 in the R4 matchplay, but despite a hopeful result on #1 I wasn't and I didn't. I somehow managed to scrape a draw though, which feels like a happy outcome. Well, it does for me. Stevie may feel differently.... Art VandelayWutpa

Optimal Finish That Rocked @ Nigel's Knack ReducerComing off a wobbly pub crawl R4 and an even wobblier knockout round (that saw me duly dumped from the Long Island Cup, congrats dave69 ) my expectations were not high going into this round. Plus, it's OFTR, right? It's where dreams go to die, and the venue was last week's Kinetic course, so..... .....craziness ensued. I picked up 15 points for my -6 on the front 9, and somehow accidentally lit a fuse on the back 9 and ripped through in -10 to add another 23 points. That's 38 points, which is easily my best ever total in OFTR. Art Vandelay Wutpa

Art VandelayWutpaOFTFROops Extra F in there. Started playing last night after the 8th hole and my 3rd bogie I was +1 and said, I can’t do this. So, I stopped. It went better this morning, but it’s hard to recover from 4 points thru 8. I gave it a go.

Very basically if there are 5 grids between you and the hole all moving from left to right at a slow pace I will go one click left for every line. So my putt is 5 clicks to the left if one of the lines is moving faster I might add an extra click left on the stick. Works for me normally Thanks for the explanation Les. I'm such an ignoramus that I don't even know what you're referring to when you talk about clicking left or right. Apart from some basic mental arithmetic for elevation, I play every single shot in this game by observation, instinct and guesswork. Nigel your on PC so I’m assuming you change your aim by using the arrow keys on the keyboard to move your aim left and right. One tap on said key would move it a certain distance us controller players would tap the joystick left or right each tap moving our aim by a set amount. I could make a video how I do it and depending how they make the next game could be useful on that game as well

Finishing up for the week.
Have I ever mentioned that I can't putt? Okay, well, then take a seat. I'll pay for your travel over to my house. Needless to say, accommodation is free. All I ask is that you bring a suitcase full of rum and as many recreational drugs as you feel you can secrete.

It's okay though, I'm happy enough with my method of calculating/guessing putts and other shots, I'm just curious to hear how others play.

When I’m not playing in competition I play like you do by feel but on my CC rounds i default to my counting method for putts. It gets me closer to the line I want for my putt but on the whole it’s still a feel thing especially for how hard your going to hit it. In real golf your either a die at the hole putter or you hit the ball harder and take the break out of it. Both work equally as well but I think a die at the hole putter will three putt less in general. Edit: I’m not trying to push my method onto anyone if it resonates with you that’s great if your happy with your results then that’s fine also.

Sorry team, had to play this round on the underwhelming operating system windoze instead of Linux so the scores suffered a bit.
