Season Three - Week Five
14th March to 20th March 2021Welcome to the final week of the tightest Brew Crew Season to date with everything to play for both in the Team and Individual Divisions. In the team just 9 points separate the top 5 so it promises plenty of twists and turns before the Champions are crowned. In the Individual there are just 4 points between 1st and 6th with a further 6 players within 2 points further back. Anyone's title. Who Dares Wins!
The Pub Crawl - TGCT Rounds at Kinniconick Golf Club
You need to play all 4 rounds of the TGCT Beer League (even if you miss the cut) with the stipulation that the first 2 rounds must be played by the TGCT Wednesday deadline. Please report your scores in the thread as you play your rounds (nothing worse than having to drag through the LB's to pick up scores) and tag me in your report. The more colourful report the better!
Score summaries at the end of the four rounds are helpful from those not registered in the Beer League with TGCT.
 One For The Road - Modified Stableford at Vanquish PointThis week we are playing Modified Stableford in The Brew Crew Society. The total score from the team members will count with the winning total getting 6 points, 2nd 5 points, 3rd 4 points, 4th 3 points, 5th 2 points and 6th 1 point. We are again this season only featuring courses designed by Brew Crew members and this week we will be visiting Vanquish Point by Simon Morris SAM Please screenshot and post your scorecard on the thread for my attention in order that your score may be determined.
 And don't forget Ashton's Ashton Fox Brew Crew version of Heaven & Hell, also featuring courses from our own in Brew Crew Untapped!!

Welcome to the final week of the season which has been an absolute cracker. There has been some outstanding pixel golf played but more importantly it’s been a fun and exciting season. At the end of this week, we will all be sitting in the bar having a cold one.
Week 5 of the Pub Crawl Season takes us to Kinniconick Gold Club, a fictional Delta theme course with a par of 72 which was created by James Mobley.
Course Description:
Inspired by central US country clubs such as Southern Hills, this fictional course is set amidst rolling hills and tree-lined fairways.

Week 5 – One for the Road
The 5th week is the Modified Stableford format at Vanquish Point by Simon Morris.
This is a fictional Boreal theme course which has a par of 73.
Course Description:
With its tight fairways & tricky greens “Vanquish Point” features a choice of 2 tees & 4 pins offering an interesting test to all skill levels especially in medium to high winds!!
Best of luck to all teams and let’s see who the champion team will be at the end of the season.

How are you finding the 60 fps change SkyBlueBen. Turning it on and the other enhancements off in settings has really improved the tempo problems for me |

As a PC user it's a bit closer now to what I'm used to. I was going to ditch the XB at some stage but will now carry on as it's enjoyable. |

I just wish I would have played crisper so I got to see more of the course. I jumped on Twitch this morning to watch the stream before coming on the thread so I didn't know the outcome and it was like I was watching live. I think I was tense just watching! Well played. I think you were unlucky not to get a couple up at the start when I was a bit wayward. I was just hoping it didn't go down to the 18th as I hit some trouble on that hole. Even against a ghost, the player going second definitely gets the matchplay feeling while playing ... and probably more of the nerves too! I am subbing next season but I'll definitely be back for this. |

HAIR OF THE DOG - BREW CREW FINAL RESULTS - WEEK 4
Match 1 - The In Ciders vs The KASK Beer Buddies
Ties are becoming commonplace! Ken L was the standout player for the Buddies with a full house whilst TiC's was a more balanced contribution from each member. Highlight of this fixture was the singles match between Dave S and Ken W which was won by Dave with a narrow 2 shot victory. It doesn't get any closer than the end result - well played all.
TiC 12 to TKBB 12
Match 2 - Rum Raiders vs Brahms & Liszt
This was another close run affair and really could have gone either way. Andy was the standout player here with 5 points and was only denied a full house by Ben's magnificent -14 in their 2nd round doubles match. Ben featured again in a crucial match with a heartbreaking 1 shot loss to Dave K - a result that was possibly the difference between the two sides. Good win here to RR.
RR 13 to B & L 11
Match 3 - The Brew-Tang Clan vs Grip it & Sip it
Another reasonably close match. Art V was the standout player here with a full house but alas it was all in vain because one of their players just didn't show up. I won't embarrass that player by naming and shaming but you know who you are Pete. Jason & Mark also battled manfully for GiSi but it was never going to be enough. Good win here to the Clan, whose members contributed evenly across the board.

Blobs - Pete & Mitch. Well deserved in Pete's case because he played like a muppet.
High Rollers - Andy -54, Ken L -43 and Dave S -42

Well done everybody - another close week overall.

SkyBlueBenRound 1 Pub Crawl Not sure if playing my round piss drunk on Rye Manhattans was a good idea. Managed to avoid bogeys but also didn't manage any eagles. A few errant iron shots kept me from going low. R1 : -10 (62)
