Hello Friends! Jim Nantz here welcoming you to week 2 of the season. Some close battles to open the season left 5 teams within three points of the lead. Let's see where we're playing this week.
The Americas TourWeek 2 on the Americas Tour takes us to the coast. Which coast you might ask? Well we aren’t quite sure. Shorewood Shores is a fictional, official PGA 2k23 course designed by Adam Benjamin, aka Arctic Fury. Now let’s get to our One for the Road course of the week: Jefferson Country Club (L). As our Crew Schedulers continue to show their love to Brew Crew designers past and present, the Crew head back once more to the flatlands of Ohio to this course designed by our very own Mark Buenger. Jefferson is a real, countryside themed, par 72 course spanning 6984 yards. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1992, the front and back nines offer different styles of play. The front is reminiscent of old Scottish links while the back is a more American style course.
Of note, in late 2023, the course underwent renovations designed by the RTJ team including removal of a number of bunkers and narrowing of a number of fairways. I, eh, I mean, Mark, is hoping to be able to bring these to the next game if that ever comes.
Let’s get out to the course for continuing match coverage and remember Friends, GRAB THOSE SCORECARDS!
