I have a volunteer to cover Paul's One For The Road round. It's the best I can do to finish the week off before I self combust!! And I'd like to thank him for helping us out.

I think all the admins are incredibly talented, gracious with their time and efforts, and the best looking bunch of gawlfers you would ever want to see.

sid snottPaul, I need you to finish off your OFTR round if you can using the most legal controller you own. Is that OK? I'm getting desperate to the point I'm wishing we didn't have a Brew Crew Society round....

Season 4 Update - Please ReadIt has been decided to ditch the Captain's for Season 4. Very few want to do it, most that volunteer forget to send Leon the pairings (including myself!!) and we get the feeling everyone would prefer just to get on and play. Therefore, for Season 4 Mike katana22 will undertake the draft (as a neutral) and will try to balance the teams fair and square. If you don't like your team or your team mates, see Mike, nowt to do with me!!  The fixture list will be structured with each team member being given a randomly generated number in their team which will fit into the schedule. Easy. I'd like to thank Leon Loftyando Art Art Vandelay Carol inflames47 Ashton Ashton Fox Dan catcherman22 and myself for originally putting your hands up but you can step down now and get on with enjoying your pixel golf without the aggravation. Onward. This is a bummer because I like being a captain and getting the pick my teams. May I suggest before canning the idea to consider this: Captains set a lineup at the beginning of the season. That lineup will be used for the whole season unless there is a lineup change sent on time to the appropriate person. That way, a person who doesn't want to fuss with it can set it and forget it or if a person is more ambitious, they can mix theirs up. 🦊🍺 |

I couldn't even get 6 captains and we had to get Leon to stand in as the final one, even though it wasn't ideal, because he was the only one that would do it. I'm not prepared to waste any more of my time on it. If people want to just play that's fine, we can work it. |

But Ben that is why we have subs, if they are better than you , well that is how the cookie crumbles. If a player is unavailable to play and lets you know on time, and a sub is used , it is what is and I am happy for one to have subs to help out, as I am sure we all are. We all have commitments at times that might interfer with certain times or dates that rounds need to be completed in and don't think if that person might play better than who they are subbing for is unfair to other teams because we all have our moments of needing a sub , good score or bad I think we all accept the score without issue. I for one, do not want my admins at anytime feeling stressed at any point. This is why I offer any help needed to anyone because I have the time and willing to help. I want this Crew to continue and compete in the same enthusiam as we did on the first day katana22 created The Brew Crew |

It's only an issue when things are thrust upon us. No one can foresee Paul being pulled up by the API. It's just one of those things that happen occasionally. We only have 12 hours to sort the missing round. The Beer League rounds are easy to replace, the Society not so as we need a scorecard. Other league's DQ the player and the rest of his team suffers. We try to be more forgiving and at least give the rest of the team a fighting chance. But that does create it's own problems. |
