Hello Friends! Jim Nantz here to bring you week 3 action in The Brew Crew. Let’s get out to the course and get to the action. Dottie, what do you have for us?
DP: Thanks Jim! Goose and the Casuals appeared to be a runaway early as the Geese took control early taking the opening 3 matches by a narrow margin. The Casuals would strike back however, getting on the board to end day 2 and taking the opening match of day 3. It would be Goose taking back the momentum to end the day and they would go on to close out the match on day 4 with wins in the opening 2 matches. The Casuals would add the last 2 to make the score respectable. Goose takes this one in an upset, 12-8. Now over to you Colt.
CN: Thanks Dottie! The Raiders and Royals come into the matchup looking to get their seasons back on track. The Raiders took control early with a 3 point opening day and an early win on day 2. However this seemed to wake the sleeping giant as the Royals regained the momentum to sweep the next 3 matches. An early draw on day 4 kept the Raiders in it but it would ultimately come down to the day’s final match where Randy out-dueled Les to earn the victory for the Royals, 12-8. Now over to you Smylie.
SK: Thanks Colt! The Necessities and Hobgoblins do battle this week and it was a close match early. The Necessities swept the opening day to take the early lead. The Hobgoblins drew the match back level on day 2 taking both matches. The Hobgoblins kept up the momentum on day 3 taking 3 of the 4 points to give them the edge for the final day. Much like Smylie’s match this one would come down to the final as Necessities staged a day 4 rally to tie the match at 9. It would be Michael who convincingly out-dueled Mark to earn Hobgoblins the win, 11-9. And now over to you Notah
NB: Thank you Smylie! We have a top of the table battle in our matchup between the Bandits and Menace. This one was close early as the teams split the opening day’s matches before the Bandits took a slight lead at the halfway mark taking 3 points on day 2. Unfortunately for the Bandits, that’s where the good feelings ended as Menace flexed their muscles sweeping the third day and taking 3 of the 4 matches on day 4 in dominant fashion. This one goes to Menace 13-7. Back to you Jim.
