Snub Maul Week 4 at Putreon Valley or When is a Golf Course Not a Golf Course?  First round started out sanely, calm, minimal damage, ticking right along.  Then…BAM! The back nine came at me like a terminal case of genital warts.  I need a salve, Art VandelayRd 1: +1 (do NOT look the back nine directly)   Round 2 - blowing’ in the wind  Managed to keep it reasonably clean, posting only one of the aforementioned warts.  Managed to scrape out a tie for the Dickens Cider Warts and salvage a point to keep this week close.  Rd 2: -2  Off I go to seek out a reconstructive urologist.   |

Pub Crawl, Rounds 3 & 4. So I felt like I was in pretty good shape in R3, -5 after 8 holes, pushing for the single promo mark that'd take me to CC-B. And then, for no good reason whatsoever, I raised my 3-iron to the sky and shouted "Bring The Suck!", and lo! The Suck appeared and it was mighty strong. I proceeded to drop 4 shots over the next 4 holes, and the promo dream was over right there and then, at least for another week. I picked up another 6 shots on the way home, but the damage was done and The Suck had its way with me. R4 was not dissimilar enough to be comforting, with a slow start marked by an unwavering ability to miss every putt offered to me, and then it was on holes 11 & 12 where the rip in the fabric of adequacy occurred and let The Suck in again. After that it was just angry speed golf all the way home, and dreaming of the 19th. Not a great help to M2S I'm afraid.    Art Vandelay |

Ontario Federation of Trail RidersI played this round directly after finishing my Pub Crawl rounds, which I knew was a bad idea given the stumblebum golf I had just played, but I wanted my rounds done for the week so that I could concentrate on something more enjoyable, such as licking fluff off a shag pile carpet. My expectations were low enough to kiss the grubby toes of mediocrity, and after struggling to -1 after 7 holes I was on course for a very shabby points haul indeed. Maybe the course looked down on me, thought to itself "nah, demoralising this guy isn't even a challenge", and took pity on me. But somehow my deeply unthreatening play harvested 3 eagles over the next 5 holes, and with a couple of birdies to close I believe I scooped up 24 points this week. That's....amazing, quite frankly. Lovely course, enjoyed it a lot. Apparently we're married now.  Art Vandelay

Sorry to do this guys especially so soon after joining but I'm going to have to step out of the society (and probably the game) for the foreseeable future.
My work has had a big drop in funding and enforced redundancies. I've been lucky enough to avoid it (so far) but have been working crazy long days to pick up the slack from colleagues who weren't so lucky. And obviously spending time looking, and applying, for other jobs. So my gaming time has / will take a huge hit. And honestly I'm mega stressed with it all so when I can get on I'm more inclined to chill out on Starfield right now.
I've really enjoyed playing here, and you guys are a great group (I usually noseyed in here even before joining). Sorry I couldn't really contribute much myself. Terrible timing with how that happened.
I will of course find time to play my rounds until a replacement is found but I haven't been on as much so scores might not be as low as usual. Will try my damnedest though!

Totally not golf related. Not forza. Not Starfield. Not even funny, but it is. So on Steam I have a very small group of friends. All from here. This morning playing Cities Skylines on gforce now cloud I get a new friend request from some "Jane". Look at her (alledged her) profile. No games listed. Nothing. No big deal, just figured maybe it was a friend of one of you. So here I am just now playing cities again and a message comes in through Steam. Starts out with "hey bro, do you have any other names here on Steam. I say no, and ask "do I know you?, everyone on my list are people from a golf league I'm in" Question is totally ignored then Alleged Jane tells me this someone bought 600 dollars of something from them from the market place and haven't paid, but they had a name like mine and avatar like mine. This is my Steam avatar.  I made it in that image ai program I posted about last year. Yeah sure, someone has a profile pic like that. So I tell "Jane". Nope, you got the wrong person, never bought a thing from the market place. Now they try fear. "Here is the problem, I've told all my friends that you ripped me off and now I need your help in proving it's not you or you Steam ID will be permantly banned. I reply with "I don't know what game you are running but go run it on someone else. Steam will have records of any purchase I made. Now piss off" Within record time "Jane" has unfriended me lol I just did a quick google of this and it's apparently some sort of scam. What the @!$#, the think I just got off the boat? Tim's funny for the day. 1'st something like that has ever happened to me before on Steam EDITED TO ADD. guess it's scam help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/3195-9FFB-BA06-F25BAnd at the very time I post this I'm getting harassed by Home Comfort phone calls. 2 in the last 10 minutes. I'm growing weary of this world and all the low life scum inhabiting it. Amd what really pisses me of is I was just going about my way keeping to myself trying enjoy the final hour of game time I had in Cities, only to have it ruined by this piece of sh%$. |

Sometimes you simply have no choice but to step back and concentrate on putting the real world right. |
