Pub Crawl through Paralysis Valley, Rounds 1 & 2.    I played a couple of practice rounds at this course the day before, and scored a brace of 58s. Feeling good, liking my chances, so I played it live and....I couldn't remember whatever it was I was doing right the previous day. After 5 holes I had scraped one miserable bogey, and I was already starting to sweat about not making the cut (-13, at the time of playing). I managed to steady the ship and birdie 3 of the next 4 holes, then added 4 more birds and an eagle on the last to wobble into the clubhouse on -10. Not terrific, but certainly better than it was shaping up to be. R2 switched up the conditions and it didn't take me long to birth my first bogey of the event, but happily I eradicated it with an eagle on the next hole. A couple more birdies on the outward half took me to -13 and I finally felt semi-confident I'd make that cut and not hand back the promo I just nabbed last week. Another 4 birds on the home stretch gave me a round of -8 for-18 overall, which roots me mid-table, but safe. Man oh man though, I wished I could have made some putts drop. Time after time I squeezed them past the hole by the width of a gnat's todger, but that's the way of it sometimes. Art Vandelay |

Pub Crawl - week 4, part 1 On the board for round 2, round 1 was a lost cause right off the get go. Thank god it ended strong... my dude is looking away from the camera knowing we pulled off an impossible robbery in the Rumble... because what's that thing at the end that got me a win there that was needed for it after I hit a pathetic slow in the drink on 16?   And here's the shot to get some undeserved points in the Rumble... robotic John in the commentary because it's the future! This is the second in the game after making one very early in the cycle of the game, like a year ago. Art Vandelay

Missed another cut in Kinetic with a -17 I’m just treading water at the minute surviving by not getting demo marks but not good enough to remove the two I’ve got. I don’t know why I bother.

CC rounds 1 and 2.
I have to say that I hoped for a better halfway score, but the encouraging thing is that the things I'm working on are very slowly starting to show results. I have to remember that it wasn't that long ago that I was shooting over-par scores in practice. This score is absolutely the worst I could have shot, and that gives me hope. I'm getting confident that I'm going in the right direction.
One thing I've noticed -- and maybe it's just me -- is that recently the game has changed in that swing plane seems to be way more important than it was. Previously, my experience was that, as long as the top of your swing was in the white bar, the ball would go where you were aiming. Now it seems that the bottom of your swing, the overall direction of your swing line, and where your swing finishes, affects the result of the shot way more than it used to. Now, that could just be my experience, of course, but it's something that has hugely affected my game. So much so that I'm thinking of completely redoing my fittings, but that's for another day.
Short version: I think -- emphasis on "think" -- my game is getting there, slowly but surely.

Well, the time has come. I have officially missed my first cut since week 10 (January 9th,2023) of last season, wayyyyyy back when I was a rookie trying to survive in CC-K. I am pretty proud of that near year long no-cut run, but I completely hit the wall in round 2. A real shame as I scored myself a Jessica Alba on the 18th. Sadly it wasn’t enough to get me over the line.

Pub Crawl @ Barbie's ParadoxDang Art Vandelay I was too slow to beat the roll call.  Call me nuts but i swear i've seen that 9th hole before. The game gifted me new set of pants last time i played, yay. I dressed my clown dude in his new drawers - more on that later. New clown guy made a 170 odd yard hole out for eagle on the front 9 of the 1st round and also dropping a 69 foot putt for bird in the 3rd round. And made a bogey in the 4th round. Sometimes i think this game hates me.

Cheap Skate CityA tongue in the cheek observation at modern day gaming.I got the standard version of the game and never bought any of those passes or whatever it is called that always seem to pop up every time one loads up the game. I also decided i will never spend any of the in-game coins on any clothing and would wear free stuff only, not even my daughter was going to be able to sweet talk me into it. Early days i did score a few pieces of clothing - at least i think i did - through the gaming sponsors when i grinded for fittings playing the career thingy. Now my toon over the years has become a bit of an eyesore that even i started to get tired of and last week instead of getting another set of unusable balls or another irrelevant fitting (maxed out) at the end of a round, the game showed me some love and dropped a pair of pants. Free of charge, no obligation - at least as far as i could tell. Happy days, could not wait next time i loaded the game to do something about it. So, 488 rounds played i charged straight for the clothing cupboard this afternoon, and this is what i have to show for it thanks to Take 2. Six bloody pair of pants to choose from. Trust me the 4th tab is also 'no items found' Hoping the Bogey Boys logo does not infect my game. Or...., maybe i'm the cheap skate not wanting to spend any of my mountain of game coins on clothing
