Pub crawl R1 & 2
R1 : -14 R2 : -10
The course is significantly easier than the one we had last week, with slow greens (on the first 2 rounds at least). Failry easy to score well. For once my game was spot on, and I won't get stressed this week about making the cut
On another subject, fantastic match yesterday between the Blacks and the Irish, was very very close. Hope France will play well tonight and send the bocks back home ( Crazy Croc ). Good luck to the english, as the way they have been playing lately, their match this afternoon against Tonga might end up bad for them !
I don't know what will happen this evening, but the crystal ball whispers Boks to beat the AB's in the final Tom! Think I agree with that. Always think England are going to be the last northern hemisphere team left standing. Wouldn't have predicted that at the start!

Hello Friends, Jim Nance here to bring you the best of week 2 of The Brew Crew season. Week 2 had a lot to live up to as the opening week proved to be extremely competitive. This week The Crew visited Asilomar Trail for the Clapper Classic which provided some frustrating moments for the Crew. Now, let’s jump on in to the action (Match lines provided by DraftBings Sportsbook). Dickens Cider Casuals v Rum Raiders (-7.5) Coming off a close loss last week the Casuals looked to bounce back against the Raiders who were in turn seeking redemption after seeing victory slip through their fingers in week 1. This match proved to be a back and forth affair with the teams splitting the matches on the opening 3 days. Day 4 the Raiders showed their quality with Captain Ben leading the charge the Raiders took 3 of 4 individual matches with only Paul Matchen taking points for the Casuals. The Rum Raiders win in a close one but fair to cover. The Hobgoblins v As You Brew (-0.5) Both squads in this matchup were looking to break through in the win column after coming off opening week draws. As You Brew started of fast taking both opening day matches. Memories of the Season of Ross came flooding back to the course. However, the Hobgoblins were able to rally on the remaining days and split every match but they were unable to overcome the opening day deficit and As You Brew broke into the win column in a close one. Menace to Sobriety (-2.5) v Bulldog Brewers Coming off a surprising draw against the season champs from a season ago Menace looked to continue their run against the Brewers who were looking to bounce back after last week’s performance. Brewers came out angry this week taking both the opening matches and the opening match of day 2. Menace would not go down easily in this one though, clawing back one match on day 2 and splitting day 3. Facing an uphill battle, the Golden One rallied his troops and Menace took 3 of 4 on the final day to steal the draw from the Brewers Bourbon Bandits (-3.5) v The Cupid Stunts Bandits looked to continue their blistering start from week 1 and folks, did they ever. Fueled by Captain Paul’s pre match bulletin board material, the Bandits came out with intent and took points in all matches on the first two days with only Jason and Chuck providing any resistance with a draw in their match. After a split on day 3, the Bandits squashed any hope of a comeback and swept the day 4 matches in a completely dominant performance, easily covering the spread. Team Scoreboard: Dickens Cider Casuals 8 v 12 Rum Raiders (-7.5) The Hobgoblins 8 v 12 As You Brew (-0.5) Menace to Sobriety (-2.5) 10 v 10 Bulldog Brewers Bourbon Bandits (-3.5) 17 v 3 The Cupid Stunts Now, let have a look at our Next Gen Stats powered by AWS: The Semi-Centennial Club -No such luck this week. Burrowing for eagles @ The HillsArt Vandelay , SkyBlueBen That ever elusive -50. Played ok, was in the running for the 50 needing -13 in the last round to finally crack it. A severe birdie shortage early on and I started running out of holes too fast. Eventually got to -43 with 7 to go. 7 Hole birdie train, no pressure, no worries. Damn 16th and the stoopid putt leaked low, needed an eagle on the last provided i managed to birdie the looooong par 4 17th. 5 Wood approach inside 7 feet, pffft, easy peasy. Driver off the deck on the last to pin 290 odd yards down range, 53 footer left for that big bird. I got so cocky i started a recording of my putt.

Great write up mbuenger and good job team on the win! well played all. I started out with a -16 in the CC rounds... will play the second before Wednesday and post screenshot of both together. OFTR below (complete with typo lol) enjoyed that course, plenty to think about round there! And I know SkyBlueBen is DYING to try out that True Sim course this week haha

My OFTR this week is a perfect example of this. I play OK when I’m calm, but pretty much a toys out of pram individual when things go tits up.

I smashed driver off the green in platinum last week mid-round 4. Totally lost the bap and limped home a few days later with my tail between my legs for a 76 to close. Somehow got out of it with one demo mark. I just don't have the temperament for platinum at all. I'll leave it in Ross' capable hands!

The Stunts were hoping to round up the Banditos at the ok corral and put them behind bars, but the Banditos lead by Doc Holiday mbuenger rounded us up and slaughtered us, probably because I could only find water pistols for the team, while the Banditos had colt 45's. This week we face off, or should that be back off against the Bum Raiders, just keep your back's against the wall and you should be fine. Make sure that no Raiders are behind you when picking the ball from the hole or you might find yourself like Rolf Harris in the prison showers. Have you guessed what it is yet? crushtastic Violinguy69 Bogey Bonocore zooby97 let's raid the Rum for ourselves, I'm getting a bit low.

I’ve finally finished with TST as well this season and it’s not because they’ve gone to legend difficulty. It's the greens for me. I don't have the patience. In an ideal setting, I'd prefer to play TGC as it is but with legend swing.

No issue with the legend swing but this is a game to me and not particularly designed to work without grids, especially on greens!! I enjoy the TST course choices but there's only so many 4 putts you can stomach before giving in gracefully. I have other games to play that give me pleasure... Fast cars and loose women is where it's at!!

In an ideal setting, I'd prefer to play TGC as it is but with legend swing. I don’t even mind the green reading without grids it’s the fact they use one of the hardest settings for the swing and still turn the winds up to almost max for four rounds and have the greens turned up to faster settings all in a futile attempt to get scores down to levels they see on tour and it still doesn’t happen you get silly low scores by the top guys while creating miserable rounds for the guys that aren’t quite so good and I include myself in the guys that aren’t so good. One of the tournaments I played last season had four rounds of high winds and very slick greens. It was a coastal course if I remember right so that was the reason for the high winds, I live on the coast and it’s not always windy

If anyone ever fancies it I'd happily jump in a round and give some tips for reading the greens without grids. Obviously only if you want though. I totally get it if it doesn't appeal as a game mode.
I mean I love Forza but the only way I'm turning off ABS assist is if someone rips the controller out of my cold dead hands lol
