Bloody Mary Cup prowse00 Harveydog500Quite the back and forth match between Paul and I. I was able to briefly pull ahead by two on the front but then Paul pulled one back right away and I found myself 1 up as we went to the back. Was able to steal a split from Paul after curling in an eagle putt on 11. Paul was able to level the match on 13 after I pulled my tee shot straight into the bunker. With the pressure on I drove the shorter par 4 leaving it just short of the green. Paul was able to chip on and have an easy birdie putt. I was able to pull off the miraculous and watched my 30 yd chip shot drop into the cup to go back up 1. The lead would be short lived though as I made a poor shot following Paul’s spectacular second shot that rolled to within a few feet of the cup and ended up well to the right of the hole. I tried to ice Paul’s eagle putt by putting off the green a couple times but to no avail and the match was once again level. Knowing Paul’s final score I knew I needed to birdie two of the last 3 to win. I was able to bounce back on 16 and get one of those birdies. Paul and I moved to the par 3 17th where we both ended up short of the green. With Paul chipping closer to the pin than me the pressure was on to make a medium length par putt to keep my advantage and the match moved to 18. Now knowing this was the hole Paul birdied I knew I needed to match to continue on. I was able to deliver a great second shot and match Paul’s birdie to win the match 1 up.

Bloody Mary, not Long Island, Cup.
This was one hell of a game. I honestly don't know where this came from, and I didn't think I had a chance after the OFTR.
Hats off to you, Tom, for playing a great round and hitting some wonderful shots.

Unfortunately for me, as Sean said, you did have me this week Bear. Great match 👏. I'm pretty sure you got me on countback. I knew the last couple of holes might cost me. Well played Sir. Something for the win.
