Is this another society?!? Thanks mate, sadly do need the actual scorecard for match play. asyoudo64 , thetaffman are you able to ghost when one of you play? (edit : I did actually put your score from last week in twice, thinking I had made a mistake as the total didn't add to par correctly ) Hi Nate, This is the knockout competition which we do technically use another society for. (Always plenty going on in here). Sadly sign ups was at the beginning of the season but didn't get a reply from you. |

The main and important competition is the full team season which you are part of. I will be sure to chase you down if I don't get a reply next season  |

Pub Crawl  At the halfway stage. Fairly uninspired stuff, in the grey zone between "not terrible" and "mediocre". I couldn't get the hang of the greens, missed innumerable 10-15 ft putts, but then my approach shots should have been closer too. It didn't help my cause that I lost a day, due to me forgetting that last night was actually Tuesday, not Monday (Canadian Thanksgiving weekend got me out of sync), so just as I was about to get something to eat I realised that I needed to play at least one round to beat the deadline. So, the consequential first round was played to the soundtrack of my rumbling tum and a headache, and then I had to play R2 this morning before work while I was still blinking the sleep out of my eyes. Neither tactic is recommended. Not a very helpful contribution to the M2S cause so far I'm afraid, Art Vandelay.  |

Bloody Mary Knockout. So, I was playing pretty well on Sunday with runkibus , and had a practice round here. Did very nicely, so I decided I was fit and ready to go and play it for real. And of course I dropped two shots in the first three holes, then got a par on the next two to sit at +1 after 5 holes, with a solitary birdie in my favour. And that was enough for me to shut it down and walk away, fed up. I left it 48 hours without touching the game, and decided I'd come and finish the remaining 12 holes off tonight, with my customary low expectations. I therefore can't really explain why I seemed to catch fire, and went -12 in those 12 holes, but that's what happened. It's an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in a slice of bacon that was then swallowed by a dog and emerged a day later. Of all the nothings I know (and there are many of those nothings indeed), the nothing I know about this game may be the nothingiest. I've just officially forgotten how to score. Tee to green was better than when I was struggling to keep it on the course not all that long ago, but I'm just not scoring. I can't even blame tempo for this. I have no doubt that I'll be out of the knockouts if I keep this up.

Art VandelayPub Sorry Captain…..What a freaking train wreck!!!!! On some courses I don’t get a good feel for and this course is one of those for me. And in Round 2 my tempo went to hell early and I could never find a good rhythm. No feel for the course and bad tempo along with a shaky putter is going to end badly…. It was just one of those crummy days on the course. I wanted to quickly finish my last 2 rounds immediately but decided to just wait for another day as I didn’t want to wreck the team anymore with 2 more crummy rounds. Scrub Sprawl Week 2 Round 1 or I’ll See Paul D’s thetaffman Utter Dog Shite and Raise Him Absolute Bat Guano   Front nine book end double bogeys not to be outdone, there were two more double drops on the back to give me a complete set of twin-dips.  It was only after the round was completed that I realized I had traded in my putter for the new Top Flite 3-iron, which I had used unsuccessfully on the greens.
