My apologies to my temporary Hobogoblins teammates.... I've made a mess of this course. Worst I've shot in a while. I just couldn't get anything going on this course and my tempo was just off. I'll post my scores in the discord because for what ever reason posting images in here doesn't work for me. Went +3, -1, +5, +3 Haven't played OFTR yet...hoping for some redemption! Art Vandelay

We asked, you answered, we made. TBC ladder competition is ready to go but with a slight twist. With the thought of having to amend positions on a ladder each time there was a match, we are going to trial using a ELO system. (The same ranking online chess uses). From an admin perspective it will be a lot easier to manage. So how will it work, I am hearing you say. Keeping it simple, find someone to play, arrange a date and time, play, then post the outcome. No limit to how many games you want to play a week. All we need is a result posted here or in the newly updated TBC discord channel. So they don’t get missed, just give me a simple tag. Game modes - Happy to play what you like, fancy a skins or stableford night instead of match or stoke play, go for it. Courses to play - If all parties can agree on a certain course and conditions go for it. However if you want a random course with set wind conditions, head over to discord and check out the course picker channel. We have added 120 courses that can be chosen randomly with wind conditions included. Would then recommend playing everything else on default on back tee's. ELO- everyone starts at a base rating of 1000. Win a game, you gain points, lose a game, you drop points. As ratings start to change the ELO formula comes to life. In a nutshell what will happen is when two players A and B, with Elo ratings of 2700 and 2300, respectively, face each other, the points offered for B’s win will be higher than what A will get for a win. 2/3/4 players - Again free to do as you wish. More the better as they say. For clarity when more than 2 players have played, results will be entered in the following way each time. 1st - A 2nd - B 3rd - C 4th - D A win B, A win C, A win D B win C, B win D C win D D - Ouch. Quite a lot to take in but overall this has been designed to encourage more live games (the best way to play) between our members. We understand time zones, work life and personal life is going to make it difficult but hopeful to see as many as you as possible getting involved. Spreadsheet will be going live in the usual places later today but we are all systems go! Ladder SpreadsheetAny questions let me know but for now Happy Golfing!

arthurvandelay ,,, here you go sir . 3 rounds played so far.
Whoever set the greens at 192 for round 3 seriously needs to give their head a good wobble . How on earth can you end up 20 foot past the hole and off the green when putting from 3 foot. Crazy
Rnd 1 -5 Rnd 2. -8 Rnd 3. Even par

Like the idea of using the ELO system, saves a hell of a lot of time coming up with your own scoring system.. Looking forward to it... Will be good to get some Brew Crew matches happening in Discord again

Art VandelayHey there Arturo. First round was like reading a post from Bear on a bad day Tempo and putting just didn't work properly so round score was -2. Second round (which I played right after the first round) I had no issues with tempo or the putting at all - except for back nine where I could not get it right that dots moving meant no fall Anyway, round 2 score: -9
