Getting ready for Forza with a day's car racing in Australia's great race. The Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama. Quick plug for Ken's coggin66 course of the same name. 280kph 😲😲. Awesome ☺️.

Hello Friends, Jim Nance here to bring you the best of week 1 of The Brew Crew season. For those who may be concerned about the highlight package, have no fear, a certain pop star did not stop by to distract our fantastic camera crew. This week The Crew visited Stonefly Valley Golf Club for The Brian Blessed Links Championship which provided some exhilarating moments. Now, let’s jump right in to the action (Match lines provided by DraftBings Sportsbook). Dickens Cider Casuals v The Cupid Stunts (-3.5) Last season’s wooden spoon winners Dickens Cider Casuals take on The Cupid Stunts in a battle of the bottom dwellers from last season. With Captain Paul cruising around the course providing encouragement and releasing Scary Mary on the Casuals, they seemed destined for the win. The Wooden Spoon winners would not go quietly into that night however as the teams split the opening 3 days. Day 4 would prove to be the deciding day as Captain Mark, with the match tied, remembered that he took the Stunts at -1.5 on an alternate spread in his parlay, allowing the Stunts to pull out the two point victory and cover. We’ll see if The Casuals can shake it off for in time for next week. Rum Raiders (-1.5) v The Hobgoblins Arguably the matchup of the week this week saw the two runners up in the Season of Ross square off in week 1. With Captain Ben flying his sky blue Jolly Roger high in the sky, the Raiders split day one before taking 3 of 4 from The Hobgoblins on days 2 and 3. It was looking bleak for Captain Charlie but he rallied the troops before day 4 repeatedly saying “this is not the golf you’re used to playing.” As the pairings went off on day 4, he was a great sport wishing the Raiders luck and saying “we are not the team you want to beat.” The Raiders crumbled under the force of the Sith Lord falling in 3 of the 4 individual matches as The Hobgoblins rallied to secure the draw in the match. As You Brew (-6.5) v Menace to Sobriety Last season’s champs were anxious to continue the Season of Ross opening up against the returning upstart Menace to Sobriety. Led by The Golden One, rumors of internal strife pushed the early money on the defending champs. However, Menace lived up to their name, packing in the defensive third, making it difficult for the champs to create much of anything, stealing the opening day matches to stun the crowd on their way to a 3-1 lead at the halfway point. As You Brew came out firing on day 3 taking both matches and the comeback was on as they stormed to the lead on day 4. Captain Golden One took back the momentum in his singles match and Nate was able to secure the final point of the match as the clock ran out. A shocking result behind the heroic efforts of Menace and the champs were held to a draw Bulldog Brewers v Bourbon Bandits (-2.5) The nightcap featured two teams coming off rebuilding years last season. In what was expected to be a tight battle the Bandits jumped on the Brewers early sweeping the opening day matchups. Not wanting to have Captain Carol swear up and down the course again, the Brewers rallied on day 2 securing points in both matchups. A split on day 3 meant that this match would come down to the final day. Captain Bing’s Bandits proved to be too much on the final day securing the victory by taking 3 of the 4 individual matchups and were the only favorite to cover the spread in week 1. Team Scoreboard: Dickens Cider Casuals 9 vs 11 The Cupid Stunts (-3.5) Rum Raiders 10 vs 10 The Hobgoblins (-1.5) As You Brew (-6.5) 10 vs 10 Menace to Sobriety Bulldog Brewers 7 vs 13 Bourbon Bandits (-2.5) Now, let have a look at our Next Gen Stats powered by AWS: The Semi-Centennial Club -Ross Nixon (-58) -Charles Lindbergh (-55) Highest Team Score -Bourbon Bandits (-164) Top Individual Scorers -Ross Nixon (-58) -Charles Lindbergh (-55) -CF Gibson (-49) Low Individual Round R1 - Nate Lewis (-14) R2 - Charles Lindbergh (-15) R3 - Ross Nixon (-17) R4 - Ross Nixon (-16) Team Points Leaders (8) -Randy Zubowicz Better Luck Next Week Blob Award -Mark Lawrence OFTR Highest Scorer -Ben Tough (29) -Charles Lindbergh (28) -Mark van Niekerk (27)

Hey everyone In case any of you are interested or in need of a course to play, I released a new course yesterday evening. It is a tropical course called The Matumba located in a coastline delta. The 18 holes Par 71 course is running over several connected islands and course is only accessable by boat. All around the course you will see water with tall grass and narrow waterways, but water only rarely comes into play. There are good opportunities for both birdies and eagles even though pars and bogey are not far away. The standard setup is firm fairways, moderate green firmness and a green speed of 151. There are 4 different tees from 7.225 yards to 6.550 yards. So get comfortable and have a go at this course with holes surrounded by beautiful flowers, tall grass and water. You could also stay for a while and set yourself up with your favorite Brew Crew drink in one of the lovely rental houses located in the tall grass and the waterfront. A few screenshots from the course:

Bit light so far on tracks. I think this and a few others will definitely appear soon. I know it's not ideal but the seem to be making it a kind of quasi live service game this time around and presumably have held back some tracks to add them later under the guise of early content. In a weird way I quite like that so far though. It has given me time to feel out the tracks that are there so far. I'd echo everyone else's feelings though right now. Too many good games 😩

Pub Crawl Week 2 Art Vandelay Apologies to my team mates this week. I just couldn't get going. Made hard work of easy holes and putting was disgraceful. Parring 2 par 5's in Round 4 🤬 and a double and another bogey. Not good enough from your Captain, but I know you will take up my slack and bring us home for the win. Art, I ghosted Nate On3PmpWond3r in Round 4. So you can grab his scorecard for the Matchplay. Will do the same in OFTR. AsYouBrew 4ever 🍻

Lawn Guyland Cup Round 1 or Refunds Are Forthcoming prowse00 zooby97 @everyoneelse As promised by Randy, I took a very early 4-hole lead after four holes, only to be down 1 at the turn. Hung in there on the back nine but an untimely bogey on 16 put me 2 back. Picked up the 17th with a gift bird (and a gift birdie miss by Randy), setting up only needing to win the 18th to take the match in a count back. Laid up off the tee to avoid danger, only to find danger. The resulting display of tentative golf from both parties yielded matching bogeys, and giving Randy the match that neither player deserved to win. Zooby over GolfBad 1 up Congrats and good luck, Randy! Happy to put this week of beatdowns by you to bed. Sean, I believe all spectators are due a refund for having to put up with such an awful display of golf. The golf scores were not great on Sat but the TV ratings are always good when you play Mark. Mark always moves the needle as people want to see what Mark has to say. Win or lose vs Mark is always entertaining. As for the match I thought I was a goner after being down 4 after 4 holes. I was reading your comments without looking ahead as you always tell a nice story about the match. And the door was open with 18….But I’ll take the win in a tough match.

All my chores are done. Can I go racing now mom? Art VandelayOne for a Road Somewhere. Or track CC Rounds-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Knockoutprowse00----------------Natterings. One for the road. AKA A series of lucky bounces. Made a chip in for birdie early on which got my enthusiam perked. Par 5 lucky bounce put me in close range for an eagle, thought I was going to miss the green Par 3, going left, see it headed for rocks, see water, oh here we go in the water. Hits a rock, goes right, lands on the green. Par 4. Heading right, going to wind up in some ugly heavy rough, lucky bounce, end up with fairway. Used up all my good luck just in time for CC. Was a fight. Now this is how a CC event should be set up. Winds, fast greens. (even glorious 186's) Made an easy course a CHALLENGE just as it should be in the CHALLENGE Circut. Well done on the setup all rounds. I feel more satisfied with -7's and -5 than I would be having shot -12 every round. Very much prefer it like that. Some video of my adventures in One for the Road Now I'm going to hit to road/track. I can't drive 55 and I don't F'n want to either.

Pub Crawl @ Classic CrapperArt Vandelay Hit one bad putt in 72 holes. Somewhere on the front 9 in round 2 i had a 33 footer for eagle, 1 foot up elevation. When i stroked it i shouted for the ball to hit the pin! or that putt's gonna run 20, 30 feet by. It hit the pin with a sickening clunk and dropped. Other 71 holes i putted like a champ and nutting dropped. Sweet fanny blow all. Fokkerol. Zip. Nada. All day long. Except for the return putts of course. Bar one in the 4th round. 8 TBC rounds done and 1 goddamn bogey on the back of a 3 putt. smh.
