Tim (the man who can't be tagged lol) and SkyBlueBen early reviews of Forza look good. Some minor gripes about upgrades tied to levelling up cars but honestly I'll sink so much time into it that won't bother me at all. Really excited to try it out over the weekend. My tag is Hendomedes on Xbox if anyone wants to add to compare times on events. Fair warning I'm very slow on racing games so if you want revenge for the golf at all that's where to get it 🤣 I'm kind of wondering about the leveling system myself. Will see how it plays out. Looking forward to it. Apparently I should be able to play tomorrow. Early Access opens up midnight tonight. Still haven't pre loaded yet. Steam pre load button just showed up this morning. Going to play some Starfield right now then may start my download. Not sure if you can compare or do cross gen but my xbox/microsoft name is N7201U (Led Zeppelin's plane call sign, being a huge zeppelin fan and when playing MS Flight Sim, seemed like a fitting name. I even re named my starfield razerleaf ship to that. ) |

All this talk about Forza is pushing my needle. I love racing games, but I know I'd love them more with a wheel etc. The problem is I know that, once I get a decent wheel plus anything else, I will play for about an hour and then give up, at which point my wife will remove my crown jewels.

Pub Crawl - week 1 part 1 (can we keep the offseason going please?) Not the start I wanted to the TGC season. Blew round 1 massively because... I have no idea how, how can a guy shoot -13 in similar conditions on a similar course and then not remember how to play immediately afterwards? Then had to pull a -8 on the back nine in R2 to even get to a draw. Pathetic stuff, not what I should be doing at all. Bad, bad, bad.  Art Vandelay

Art Vandelay I will be needing a substitute the next 3 weeks. I am deploying to Hawaii tomorrow with the Red Cross (they are still helping folks after the fires). They literally asked me if I could go last night and have me on a plane at 6 AM tomorrow. Not even 48 hours notice - the military couldn't make things happen that fast! My team is probably happy to see me take a little break after the shitshow that was this week. R3 -2 R4 was almost something to be happy about, then I bogied 17. On the other hand, OFTR is an epic display not seen since the first week this version of the game came out. At least I settled down and got the wheels back on.. |

Pub Crawl, Week 1, Rounds 3 & 4. A disappointing finish after an unexpectedly decent start. As is often the case I think I have removed myself from the possibility of picking up a promo mark, with surgical precision. Oh well, at least I made the cut (which is effectively my mantra). Knockout. SeanAbsolutely Bloody Abysmal.  I was trundling along okay, -4 after 6 holes, and then someone came online and started chatting at me, and I allowed it to distract me. I stopped playing and waited until he was finished, but I could also see my time window to play diminishing, and by the time I got started again I was irritated, and rushing, and my play absolutely cratered. Those last 6 holes were as bad as I've played in months, and half of it was my putting. Once angry adrenalin hits the bloodstream all sense of touch incinerates, and this is what you get.  |
