Art VandelayRound 1 of the Open was my first round in a week and it showed. Lovely course, just did not play well with all things misfiring at times. -3, guess I should be happy to be under par. BTW if you are Posh and play CC and complete your rounds PLEASE post your recap so we can keep track of averages. Thanks! Onward!

Actual photo from Round 2 of the TBC Open Unfortunately I didn’t meet my bogey quota with only two derps on the round, Art Vandelay. Wait a sec…that’s not a bad thing. Rd 2: -5

Art Vandelay I played horrible the other day and tilted right into the British Open. First Round was going pretty good. 10 under par till I lost control on the par 3 17th and made bogey. Botched the 18th and made par instead of a somewhat easy bird. Should of turned the game off. Pressed on and lost control of my swing for the next 25/26 holes. Quit on hole 7, of round 3. Came back a day or two later and had better control. Too Little, Too Late by that time. Nobody catching Ross anyways. 3 out of 4 ain't bad Ross. Next Year you get the Grand Salami!

Alrighty then, time for The Open. I prepared by taking several deep breaths, some sips of water, a Red Bull, four lines of coke and a massive huff of cement glue, and then I was ready to tee off. * I was thinking that if I could manage -6 per round for a -24 total then I'd be fairly satisfied, and after R1 I was right on target. R2 was looking likely to follow suit until an eagle (literally 2 inches from an alby) boosted me to -8. R3 I birdied the first 5 holes, before wobbling and carding my first bogey of the tournament, on the 42nd hole of the campaign. Another eagle, this time on #14 helped propel me to a scarcely credible -10. I tried to squeeze in R4 in a hurry as we were due to be going out, and by the time I got to #18 I was -7 and trying to ignore the hot stare that I was getting from my other half, standing in the doorway with the car keys in her hands. Just...one...more...hole....aaaaaaaaand.....bang, a horrible shanked drive and my ball -----> out of bounds. I shut the game down and skulked off with a black cloud over my head and an empty tube of glue sticking to the sole of my shoe. I came back two hours later to complete that one final hole, and scraped a bogey out of it to finish the round on -6, and the tournament on -30. Of course I would have taken -30 in a nanosecond if you had offered it to me before I started, but my feeling of delight is somewhat corrupted by the angry red venom of that stupid bogey on the 72nd...... Mr. A. Vandelay Esq.*Some of this may not be entirely accurate.

Art Vandelay I just published a new course (post is below) so I've been playing a bunch. I was swinging well, so I decided to go ahead with the 3rd and 4th rounds. Turned out to be a mostly good decision. After a slow start in the 3rd round, I took advantage of the forward tees and scored well. In the 4th round, I was on the par choo-choo until the 12th, and then I went off for a bunch of birds on the way in. As always, thanks to all involved in making this society run great!

Hey everybody! I just published my latest course named Kensington Park CC. It's a US Open-style track that's long and tight, yet open (not a lot of trees in the interior of the course). I tested the course on VF greens and it's definitely playable but maybe not 100% TGCTours legal. Setting the greens to "fast" and the wind to medium or worse will provide the best round conditions. Wind should be either east or west for best results. In the wind, the course plays really tough with a handful of par-4s over 500 depending on the hole location. I hope you enjoy it!

Art VandelayTBC The Open Round 2 On the day I join Les on the list of publicly paid pensioners there was no presents from this f****** game. However both British Golf and English Cricket have decided to celebrate my birthday with two major competitions, in the wrong county, at Liverpool and Manchester of the next 5 days. Still, after 11 months, do not understand how you can get so many variations of shot results from exactly the same mouse movement. Really p***** off these days. Will only complete CC rounds if I'm 10 under going down the 18th on round 1 otherwise not worth completing as chances for making cut and avoiding demop marks becomes slim in CCA, but then again like a few I know becoming extremely bored of the courses CC scheduler is putting up, damn shame I missed Kinectic by one shot again in last promo event then I could play CC and TBC without a care. However onto other things. Moving date confirmed for 1st August and as I said in PM to Art, I am available to sub next week and that is it for the rest of the season. When move is complete I am working on a project that I hope to complete for September and as it will take up most of my spare time from unpacking and settling in I will probably not be playing any TGCTour rounds for the rest of their season. So guys good luck for the rest of the season.
