Pube Coil Week 6, Round 4 or “The Wind Cries Mollon” or “Soylent Labs Thinks He’s People!” Breezy golf with the Santa Claus ghost of Pete bogeyman and his blue balls (ok, technically turquoise, but the same effect)  Match play opponent is Canada’s own Tim Brantford TimB who let me hang around for most of the course.  Somehow drew even after the 10th until the 9-putt debacle of #15 put me on a 2 hole…err…hole that I couldn’t climb out of, Art Vandelay, and a missed par putt on #17 sealed the deal. Tim wins 2&1  Scoreboard master, I am ready for my second blob.  |

Week 7 – One for the Road
Week 7 of the season is the Modified Stableford format which takes us to Miami Lakes CC, a fictional Tropical theme course with a par of 72 which was created by Bill Board.
Course Description:
This Doral style course has 3 Tee markers and 4 pins for golfers of all levels, In the Heart of Miami, the heat is on!

Art VandelayPub Patrol - Week 7  Started off round 1 with a wicked right push on my swing path that led to a number of pars.  Also I’m pretty sure the greens staff put lids on the cup because I could not buy a putt.  Managed to find it a little at the end to get the round under par but a very poor round for my partner to make up for.  Round 2 the floodgates opened  and despite an early bogey I managed to fire off what I think was my best crawl round this season  Rounds 3 and 4 were pretty average as the putter flipped off and on. Had a handful of missed opportunities including a bad double in round 3.  Still a good recovery after a poor start so I’ll take it and run to next week

Art VandelayOFTR Week 7 or I Don’t Know How This Happened   Possibly the most complete OFTR I’ve ever played which was surprising because even though I prefer to play all my rounds at once, I do usually start to run out of gas towards the end.  Didn’t happen this time and for that I’m thankful.  Now, back to this contest course and a designer that crashes literally every 30 minutes…

You three really stepped up your game this week and we squeaked out a win!
Broke out of that 2-week losing slump.
Now we just need to gain 2 extra points to leapfrog the As You Brew Team!

Am I mistaken or is Leon Loftyando mistaken? Isn't TPC Scottsdale a real life track? I could swear the SIL Jason jhandz92 played a real life round there when we was stationed in the Phoenix area whilst enlisted in the US Air Force. Anyone? |
