Struggling for time this week so squeezed a round in before work. I started ok but the OB on number 7 set me back. Thankfully salvaged a respectable score over the closing holes.

Rant Time: Why do they bother naming these events? This year the "Vietnam Open" is being held in Florida instead of a certain course that I have in the database set in Vietnam. Go figure.

Agree Ken.  YOUR finest work would be a great challenge on CC, fit the geographic setting, and they don't use it?  I'll bet it was not even considered.  What a shame.

Not good enough. Had a few things going on this week so basically had to speed golf this. Anyway best I can offer this week so far.

RUMbled outta the gates hot in round 7, 28 outward and had Pen Pen Knight in my sights.  Then it fizzled.  Kept it clean but my best shots were par savers not chirps.  -9.  GG Pen.

Dash to the bar was only hot when it was not.  A humph and double Humph kept it from being special or at least serviceable.  -5.

Well am I glad round 5 against bogeyman is done and dusted. I was stressing about this for days, but luckily I came to play. I was coasting to a bogey free -10 before I got to the 18th green. Laura came home right then, and her mom had surgery today so we talked for about 20 minutes before I returned to the green…which I then proceeded to three-putt. I REALLY want that 18th hole back, but luckily -9 was enough to squeak out the win and put me in good position to make the weekend in the top 20 of my flight…but man, I REALLLLYYYYY want that hole back. 

Great battle Peter! You had me on the ropes. No idea how I pulled it out. I was in the zone…until the 20 minute break 😫

I havent had a moan for a while now so its about time i had 1 lol

hardly touched game for last week since we off season

but when you consider where we were in 2k21 we as a most part thought the game wasnt too bad, with over 2200hrs it proves its point considering im no designer

there are just so many things wrong with this title that no way it should have been released when it was with the condition/state it was in

1/ nothing new for designers a big letdown considering this was 2k/HB biggest asset to keep gamers coming back for more

2/ no live ghost play

3/ no new engine just basically the same as last game (big disapointment)

4/ players randomly losing there fittings with a cost to them through VC

5/ loading screens can take so looooong

6/ theres probably more ive not mentioned but these are just a few

7/ when playing with others one persons ball jumps when stopped which make others wonder if you are cheating or not

the problem was HB panicked due to forthcoming release of EA golf & made a disaster of a game that simple

now 1 or 3 of you will disagree like prowse00 lessangster SkyBlueBen who  have improved this game 10 fold

 

& because of HB failures we have even lost a few Brew Crew members including katana22 who was looking forward to playing brew crew again

timing in this game is also in pieces & i have a wolverine which isnt the best but the believers in brew crew think it is as not often do i hit a perfect even though my scores dont reflect that

now i have just become a captain so i will uphold that at least for 1 season to see how it goes beyond that who knows as im about ready to ditch this game

i know we have a road  map for season 1/2 ranked matchplay (not really that bothered as dont play strangers) crossplay for the masses maybe a good idea but why so late ?

new courses not sure how i feel about that 1 since designers can create almost any course & thats another thing a few good designers didnt even bother with this game because they found out no new tools

i myself have even resorted to re-installing 2k21 which shows my annoyance towards 2k23

personally think ill be going to EA game when out yes yes i know what you gonna say but that has only 30 courses ? so what next gen graphics over 1000 shot variations with 19 or

whatever it is shot types new courses eventually which ive heard you wont pay for in DLC

i played wgt for over 5 years which became a grind daily watching videos just so i could buy Free balls so EA game wont bother me in the slightest by having limited courses

theres bound to be a handful more points ive missed but you get where im at now regarding 2k23

p.s sorry for the long post to bore you to death lol

I may have improved but preferred 2K21. I’m not much of a fan of all this skills/fittings shite.

Looking forward to the EA game. In the meantime I’ve bought Uncharted 🙂

This is the worst week I have had in this game in 3 months now.
Yeah, I want to cry and quit but it's not really the game that I enjoy as much as the community.
Between this Brew Crew, Forums, Twitch and Discord it just keeps the game alive.
We are all pulling our hair out at times from this game and it's fun that we all understand this "pain" together.
I hope you enjoy EA more but playing with EA gets boring for me after awhile messing with quitters and cheaters.
You need a somewhat regulated community like this to keep it going.
You need this community and board to listen and hear your gripes and nod in approval.
You're not getting that with EA.
But you got to do you and what you enjoy.
I play with the X-Box Elite Series 2 and no way in H E Double Hockey Sticks is the wolverine better than this controller.
The stick tension controller tool and option is the Bee's Knees!
Wolverine ain't got that!
Good Luck and Try to Have Fun and I'm waiting in the wings to take your spot when you need a break from the Crew!

I’ve played with an Elite and Elite v2 controller and with both of them being wireless I got the same poor tempo as the original series x controller, since moving to the Wolverine I get none of those all my misses are in the grey area no more very fast or very slow swings. Whilst the Elite series of controllers are great for general games on Xbox they’re not good for this game and it’s flaky tempo.
Edit: you get the same quitters and cheaters in this game as well.

I feel your pain I was where you are at one time, yes I got the wolverine to replace the wireless controllers it’s not the perfect controller by any means I hit 95% slows with it but I found a way to compensate for those shots by spending sh%$ loads of time on the practice fairway testing out theories. I’m also looking forward to EA’s game I could play 30 courses for the rest of my life if they’re the right courses and EA have said more courses on the way free. When I play courses now on 2K23 most of them have the same basic look nothing new so it would feel no different to me. I intend to get my CC and other society rounds out the way and then play EA’s game the rest of the week.
I hope you find a way to score and start enjoying this game again and stick around in brew crew and hopefully if there is cross play in EA’s game we might meet on the course sometime.
