The only thing I hope when the EA game comes out that it doesn’t splinter our group but expand it. I’d like to see us remaining as we are here but with hopefully a Country Club (if they go that direction) in the EA game where we all can live and learn the new game. I’d hate to lose the connection we have here due to a new kid on the block. I have no doubt I’ll play both same as I play more than one car racing games. Onward!! I personally think too much is being put on how great this new EA offering is going to be. It will look nice. But in the end. I can't see me playing the same 30 courses over and over and over. I have around 300 hours put into this version of 2k. I cannot see me doing that on the same 30 courses. I don't even look at the career mode anymore. Same courses over and over. There may be one or two who leave this game, they will be back. TGCTours will still be here running 2k as there is very low probability of them getting any sort of API from EA. I'll still be here plugging and grinding the cc until I die. Or Doyley throws in the towel and kills this place. I'm going to get this new EA but I'll tire of it quickly. As for car racing, once the new Forza hits. I'll be flies on sh%$. I may grab that Dakar Rally game. I had my eye on it for a long time and see they just patched in a free roam mode and treasure hunt mode and it has a huge map from what I've read so I may snag that later next week. The new Forza may kill ALL golf for me!!  But until then I'll be happy to play both HB/2K and EA. You know EA's career mode will be better put together and online will almost certainly be better. 28 real courses will do me, not bothered about playing fictional courses. Never got bored with Links pre designer. As for HB/2K, yep, TGCT will stick with it for the API and the course selection and I'll be plugging away in the lower reaches of CC and putting stuff out for The Brew Crew. |

I struggled on the greens on this one. Greens were tough, presumably set by the LiDAR data. Hopefully they will be eased if Frans fransslabak uses this on his TST schedule. |

TimB Tried the original Dakar and got bored sh1tless rambling through endless desert EDIT. But did notice Red Dead Redemption II is in the Steam sale and may be tempted by that as a distraction from golf and flying!

The camaraderie in this group is second to none so will survive regardless. The EA offering is something to look forward to, maybe good, maybe not so good. Despite all it's many flaws this is still a damn fine golf game and personally I keep my interest levels up by mixing my Societies up quite a bit. A bit of Pro, tiny bit of ProAm and then a big serving of Master with all the TBC commitments. Works for me anyway. |

Art VandelayFumbling in the bar end of part one. R4 -6 Not much to say random sh%$ with good shots unbelieveable putt lines that appear and disappear at the whim of HB/2K, so the usual stuff plus was never challenging Tom's score ( tomsenec). 4 round scores for the record.

That’s how I feel Carol I will get it to play as a break from this game maybe play towards the end of the week when I have no CC rounds or brew crew stuff to finish. |

The way I see it Tim I was a member of the same golf club for 25 years in real life and played at least three times a week sometimes more and I never got bored of it. If EA implement live weather like they did in one of the TW games that should change the course enough day to day. I’ve been trying to work out just how many courses I’ve played in my time playing and it’s over 60 and under 100 so thirty courses on release isn’t bad if you think Rory McIlroy golf only had 8. |
