TBC Rumble @ Old Castle Prairie
Rd 4 : -10
Little disapointed with this last run as I was -8 on the front nine, but could not make much happening on the back nine. Anyhow, lets not be greedy, I take -10 any day of the week . Also HIO on the par 3 n°2, meaning I had an eagle / eagle start, which I think is a first for me. I have now a good chance to actually get my first promo mark this season , still far from Ben ( SkyBlueBen), who continue to lead CC-G solidly, and I believe have a serious chance of winning it this week.

Great to see you bump up to the double promo marks Tom. Sadly for me I think there is one player with 2 rounds to go who will overtake me. Still, considering I was close to binning the game not so long ago I’m take the promo mark and promotion to CC-F 😀

driver 299 wood 250 3 iron 232 then 10yd gap to 154 pitching wedge then gap wedge from 143 down to 115 lob wedge only problem now is gotta use pitch up to 110yds maybe
havent messed with the skills if they even do anything but i know i got no roll boosts on so why change it

Well, this is a bummer. Just my luck, I am entering the weekend with a chance of a top 3 finish and I injure myself in the ONE place that can affect my pixel golf game. Doing dishes today, I sliced through my right thumb (of course) on some kind of blender blade that Laura just got. It's small and I didn't know what it was and I just was in the dish washing zone and grabbed it without even looking at it. My right thumb is looking like King Tut, wrapped up in four Band Aids. YOU are saying that husbands Actually do the dishes?deathstar aka hubby who doesn't do dishes Haha I am a dish washing king! I am a stay at home dog dad to our two bully breeds. I am a travel editor for an online publication, so I am lucky as hell to work full time from home (when I am not on an adventure in some distant land), and Laura works three jobs (hospice massage therapist, her own massage studio, and manager/server at a steakhouse.) So the poor gal is exhausted when she finally makes it home, while I have been chilling in my comfy clothes all day. The least I can do is make sure the dishes are done before she walks in the door and I tell her that I am not going to pay attention to her while I play pixel golf against a bunch of people that I have never met that live on the interwebs. 🤣

These are the distances I will get with the new fittings applied. Seems pretty solid, and I am getting great, mid to high 80's on timing and swing path and mid to high 70s on transition. All legendary except the wedge grip. I could swap out the 3W for a 4W or Hybrid depending on the course. Now I just have to decide whether I do this before I play rounds 3&4 today 😬

Transition is another thing that I feel is not as important on the driver unlike irons where you might try and hit a partial shot.

I consider -22 under a poor week for me but I’ve still made the cut and finishing mid leaderboard so I will take it.

Transition is another thing that I feel is not as important on the driver unlike irons where you might try and hit a partial shot. Yeah, with my current fittings as they are now, I have 97-98 timing on my irons and wedges, which is great, but I find myself more accurate with shorter clubs, so adding the power and using a 8 iron instead of a 7 iron from 170 might help me be more accurate, not to mention less roll out with the added height (although will be more affected by the wind.) With the 10 yard gap, I won't have to use as much shaping, which will help keep my perfect at full size and hopefully limit the penalty with fast and slow. As for lie range, I actually don't think it affects the distance itself. I know there has been a debate about this, but as far as I know, it only affects the lie range percentage gap. As for transition, MacKnight has a video where he tested this out, and the more transition, the bigger the perfect and light gray windows are.

The bigger the grey and white area the transition is the easier it is to hit partial shots with less effect on your timing.

My irons all have the same fittings on so I’ve got 100% timing and swing plane across them all because I hate the iron swing it’s to short and fast in my opinion. I could probably put different fittings on my woods to change the distances but can’t really be bothered messing with them, the same with the wedges.
