Designer showcase Ken Lokosky(not Lokowsky lol) inflames47 Challenging course. Putting was better this round. 2nd shot is killing me right now The most important shot in golf Ken... I'm having the same problem. Used to stick it on the greens in 2K21, now I'm either chipping, splashing or putting from 40 feet. Feel your pain mate. That is me…….lol I’m getting a little better with the long irons but the damn wedges are always a slow, which means chipping, splashing or putting from 40 feet.

Art Vandelay OFTR I managed to stay out of the water but had a few mishaps with bunkers and chipping. I enjoyed the battle for Even and I think I got a paltry 5 points for my PGR team. Another beautiful course again this week too.

Designers showcase inflames47A very good reproduction of Augusta National. Hopefully see this one again in April for the Masters. A good round spoilt by one very poorly played 6th hole. Loving the Showcase.

With qualifying behind us, team HQ’s were busy becoming acquainted with themselves after another faultless Katana draft. This season we have sadly had to say goodbye to some old faces but out with old and in with the new with another warm welcome to Darren, Gordy, Peter and Thomas who have slotted in seamlessly. As the week started, a conversation topper was balls, balls and balls. Everyone has their opinion but in the long run to have a level playing field, surely can only be seen as a positive. But just remember… In other news this week Ross has turned to the darkside at the disgust of the XB community and Tim admitted that he is the sole reason for global warming. Winter will soon be gone Tim…. As the different coloured balls began to fly, new boys on the block ‘Ball Whackers’ and ‘The Crown Royals’ were given a harsh beating on how cruel this game can be. Unable to pick up a win on the opening two days, found them both with a mountain to climb if they were going to get anything out of the week. Another newcomer this season saw ‘The Martoonies’ headed by our very own first lady go up against the one name you don’t want to see on your opening scorecard, Mr Konsta, who was drafted this season by Mark’s Dickens Cider Casuals. Konsta went back to work as normal, picking up full points for the week but team captains looking in will be happy to report back that there was no induction to the 50+ club this week for Konsta, a possible glimmer of hope for future opponents. (Just remember I said ‘possible’) Paul’s Cupid Stunts made an excellent start to their Brew Crew journey. Paul and Peter scraped through with a shot lead against the Raiders captain Ben and partner Daniel, while highest scorer of the week Mark made little work with fellow sub raider Andy defeating Charles and Alan in a convincing manner. Raiders however are not a team to bow down. Out they came for the second day and leveled the score with a full team performance setting the match up for a juicy finish. Cat and mouse affair between the Bandits and Pabst Green Ribbon, each trading blow for blow in the opening rounds leaving the match wide open at 4 points a piece at the halfway point. As the week progressed and everyone was settling into their new CC’s home. Members were flying the Brew Crew flag tearing up their respective divisions. Day 3 well underway, Mike and Carol were seen battling away at the top of CC-K while our resident designer Les found himself hanging out at the top of CC-J. With the week drawing to an end with the final scores being posted, The Whackers started their mountain climb. With Doe and Les taking the day’s first win for As you Brew on day 3, Leon and his men knew from then they had to win the remaining to muster a draw. Leon and Gordy put in a sterling performance to get the Whackers off the mark and the mountain climb began. Unfortunately it became clear that the Ball Whackers are no mountaineers. Doe grabbing an early draw on the final day, confirmed the fate of the Whackers and what followed can be seen as a convincing win for As You Do. Crown Royals were also battling a heavy climb if they were to get anything out of the week, sadly much like the first couple of days Jager Bombers cruised on through taking no prisoners. Had it not been for Bill on the last day, Bombers would have completed an unprecedented clean sweep. Raiders and the Cupid Stunts continued to provide a fascinating match up throughout the third day. A win a piece again kept this tie all square going into the final day. Charles and Daniel of the Raiders were feeling peeved with their defeat the day before, losing by only a stroke. In a turnaround of events and coming at the perfect time, both were able to take revenge and win their respective singles 2&1 which was enough to get them over the line for the team win. Martoonies continued to struggle at the hands of the Dickens Cider Casuals as the week progressed. An almost even tie going into the final day. The Dickens pressed on and found an extra gear on the final day to take an eventual comfortable win. The cat and mouse contest between Eric's Pabst Green Ribbon and Mark's Bandits continued throughout the week. Simply nothing could be pull these two apart. As the final tee shots were made, a draw between the two was only fair. Ball Whackers 7 vs 13 As You Brew The Crown Royals 2 vs 18 Jager Bombers The Martoonies 7 vs 13 Dickens Cider Casuals Bourbon Bandits 10 vs 10 Pabst Green Ribbon The Cupid Stunts 8 vs 12 Rum Raiders OFTRThis week we found ourselves at Blackdown Hills for our single rounded stableford encounter. Ball Whackers came out strong with an early posting of 61 points. 11 bogies between them showed that this was no easy track but the bar had been set with an impressive team effort. Others came but just couldn’t get to the heights previously set. Bandits came in with 41, Raiders with an impressive 56 but not enough to knock the Whackers off their perch. Bombers and the Cider Casuals had a week to forgot. Casuals can thank Konsta for bringing home 29 of their 31 points and the Bombers collectively faulted with only a combined score of 13. Cupid Stunts came closest to bringing the Whackers down but failed at the last post, with a score of 60. As You Brew and Pabst both tried their best but 51 and 48 was only enough for mid table this week. 50+ ClubMark Murray -56 Highest Team Total ScoreRum Raiders -90 Top 3 Individual Total ScoreMark Murray -56 Sean Prowse -46 Konsta Kokkonen -39 Highest Individual Round ScoreR1 - Mark Murray -16 R2 - Sean Prowse -14 R3 - Mark Murray -19 R4 - Konsta Kokkonen -11 Most Team Points (8)Thomas Seneclauze Kie Farrell Sean Prowse Konsta Kokkonen Blobs of the WeekErnie Copage David Herron Tim Brantford David Stevenson OFTR Top 3 Individual PointsChris Grzesik - 26 Konsta Kokkonen - 24 Eric Beaudry - 23

Pub Crawl
2 rounds, 4 green side bunkers hit, failed to up n down 3 times, twice took more than 3 shots to get the ball in the hole, life is good. Splash can kiss my ass. Bring back the chip.
Positives - one gets rewarded every time one finishes a round. Got me my 1st set of orange coloured balls, yay. Need clothes though, decided my golfer will wear free stuff only and without the clubhouse pass the cupboard is bare. I wonder if a better dressed golfer is a happy golfer? And do happy golfers really play better? Waiting for an orange shirt or pants. Shoes will do too.
Will post a screenie once all 4 is done, but -3 and -5 so far, with no wind and slow greens it will need a miracle of epic proportions to make the cut i think.

The day did not start well with Benzema withdrawing from the french team at the WC following an injury gotten during training yesterday ... Still hope we will kick the Aussie's ass tuesday, but loosing our best player is not a good sign ...
Back to golf, just confirmed that I am not yet at augusta's level on 2K23 . Disastrous start, with 3 bogeys in the first 4 holes, then succeeded, with a bit of luck, to finsih the front nine at +1 (with a par gotten by playing the putter from a bunker ), then 3 bogeys to start the back nine. Ended up with a nice birdie on the 18 to alleviate a bit the rising frustration.
Have a great golfing day

Pub Crawl Round 1Art VandelayUsed the Promo Round 1 for practice and boy did I need it!! The last thing I need is promotion the way things are going! 4 over after the 6th and started just bashing it about. Came in at Even which is a result considering. So I set off on the Pub Crawl with a little fear and trepidation. Still wasn't playing too well but started to get huge slices of luck. A long chip for a Big Bird being the highlight. A chip in for a bird after screwing up my earlier shots on the 18th left me heading towards the bar a happy chappy. 7 under doesn't sound much but if you'd seen my Designer Showcase attempts this week you'd understand. Strong start last week from the lads deathstar OldManGaming606 and xxdannyxxo who had to carry me. Hopefully I can be a bit more help this week.
