I understand your feelings, but here's what explain the gap between players. It has very little to do with the Q-school and rankings. It's just normal probabilities. There was 2000 players last week. It's very easy AFTER the tournement is over to regroup players that has finished from 1500th to 1640th into one group. They may have shot a similar score that day, but you can't expect the same results happening weeks after weeks. There are stories behind these scores. Maybe #1504 was super lucky and could have shot 12 over par in one round. He's now in a too strong flight. Maybe #1600 is a Kinetic player that just had a very bad day. Maybe #1550 has now understand something very imoortant this week between the 2 tourny. They are both in a too weak flight and will dominate. The fact that all these 140 players shot a similar score last week has very little to do with how the new tourny will result I understand that issue Eric but I note two things: - Looking at top & bottom quartiles (not the extremes), we have gone from a 2-3 shot spread for 4 rounds to 8-10 shots in 1 round (and probably 25-30 shots over all 4 if they were all played). - If one round is too random, we should run off WGR for the continuing players as that is more likely representative of long-run average performance (despite the changes in 2K23). To get the league that you wish, we would have to qualify every weeks for 6 months, no new players allowed. Then, it would be undeniable that everyone is in the good flight and would see a smaller gap between top and bottom. There's too much variable in this league. From Platinium to CC-L, there's gonna be a big gap between top and bottom, every weeks. What they could do tough, is making promotion faster for every players overachieving in their flight. Maybe all winners should be CC-A the next week and all runner-ups to CC-B. The promotion event should help a but to reshuffle everything a little bit |

I probably will for the first month or two. Given a 4 shot spread in Q-school, I was hoping for a competitive TGCT where every shot counts. But instead we already have a 14 shot spread in CC-D from just Round 1 (and its even worse in some other CC divisions). It really makes a mockery of Q-school. We might as well be randomly allocated by WGR. There is a Promotion Tourney in week 2 that will even things out some. I think Doyley purposely left some room in the Pro tours for this to happen as the better players in the CC ranks should move up and out of those tiers which will make the tiers more balanced. |

I was doing quite well on TBCDS Prestnoch by Doume6307 until I wasn't. Love the course Doume, and +4 after 18. One really bad hole got me on the wrong side of the green  |

This course is significantly tougher than the TGC-CC one. Put Tim as a ghost, and we both worked hard on our scrambling  . Just beat him on the 18 with a chip in the hole. At the end, 4 bogeys, 5 birdies and 9 par. Happy with that as I had the feeling high numbers could happen fast on quite few holes
TGC-CC Round 2
Birdie the first, then a long string of par till 10, and then on the back 9, 6 birdies and an eagle on the 18. Everything was working well, shots going (more or less) straight, putting ok. Would love to play like that all the time
BTW just received my card, part of the CC-G crowd

I tried playing my 2nd round of the CC tournament but my game froze.
Here's a screenshot of where the game froze. Myself and my beautiful, sexy female caddie getting up close and personal.
I guess I'll be hearing from the caddie union for workplace harassment

inflames47Prestnoch: +5 Took me 18 holes to make a birdie, and that was in danger because when I was setting up my eagle putt, I was thinking "what are the chances this putt goes into that bunker?" since I couldn't even really play at the hole. +5 on the par 3s alone, but my driver early on (and a time or two later) was just so wild that I missed out on the opportunities that were there. But hey, 4s on all the par 4s. How delightful.

Hold up... people actually do perfect shots in this game? lmao, I just thought they didn't put those in this game. Seriously though, maybe I'll count them for this CC event. I won't have to count very high! I can still remember the halcyon days of TGC2 and 2K19 where I used to hit 80-90% perfects. Now, they're about as common as solar eclipses. Johnny I hit 5 in four rounds but quite a few that missed it by a gnats knocker 😂 |
