A quick share from my real golf world. My home club in Tasmania, Orford, had the Mixed Foursomes Championships for this year over 27 holes yesterday. A beautiful day weather wise, but 27 holes is a bit long for this old guy these days. Fortunately I had a good partner, even though our average age came in at 70 !!!!!!π² Anyway we managed to win both the Gross and Nett trophies π. You can tell from the score on the last 9, we were getting tired π«.

Been watching the live stream of the Sanderson Farms Championship off and on since Thursday. CC of Jackson is about a mile from my childhood home. I saw this shot as it happened --Gary Woodland's tee shot on 1. π I was at the Valspar Tourney a few years back and Sergio hit a tee shot into a garbage can that settled in a beer cup. I have a pic on my phone as that ball almost hit me as I was walking that I thought was a safe route to the next hole. The ball came flying through the trees and right into the garbage can for the beer cups and hot dog wrappers.

Interesting bit of info when my payment for 2K23 went through to Xbox today. π€π€π€ So apparently I get to play from 10 October π²π²π² I'm getting the standard version and it says something like 11pm on the 13th. For me it might be because I'm an hour behind NSW.

Just have fun with it. The hardest part is putting with reading the greens. A little hint is to have a ghost playing that scored well and you can see the approaches somewhat with rollout. And then watch their putts with the breaks. IRL golf I watch my partners breaks so this is no different. Or just go in blind and enjoy. But just have fun. Ben is good True Sim player, we will make him the betting favorite to win the tourney, lol You have to be kidding me. Art is your man. Magic on the mouse. Ok, I just put all of my chips on Art.

Several players could not stomach the game for another week and chose not to make the trip. Fair enough, more for those that braved the conditions and put that peg in the ground one more time. Fairly benign weather greeted the field on day one and Ken Lokosky took full advantage, firing a -15 to take a one shot lead over Konsta Kokkonen. 23 of the 26 in the Open competition broke par with a total of 8 going double digits: In the Handicap game Ken also topped the leaderboard, two clear of TBC marathon man Sean Prowse. Only four participants of the 23 qualified broke par, perhaps leading us to an over par winner this week?: Day two saw the Flashy Finn Flex! Konsta carded a second straight -14 to take the lead, blowing past Ken to lead by 7 halfway. Only other player to go double digits under was Johnny Bollocks Onions as the conditions and pressure increased: Ken kept his lead on the Handicap board, but Johnny surged past Konsta into second with the only net under par round of the day. The swirling coastal breezes βhelpedβ three folks score in the 80βs, quite an accomplishment at that age: Moving day saw the low scores return. David Stevenson led the charge of eight gawlfers going double digits under as only 2 players failed to break par. Konsta increased his lead to 9 over Chris Grzesik while a battle of Pauls (Davies and Bradford) wrestle over the wooden beach shovel: The Handicap board was most volatile, with the Fabulous Frenchman Dominique Bois surging to the top as part of 8 players breaking par. Dom leads David and Marc Van Neikerk by a single stroke with 8 more within 5 shots of the lead. Paul Davies has a grip on the Handicap wooden beach shovel, but Paul Bradford and Carol Santapaula have eyes on that prize too: Final day and Konsta kruised to an 11 shot victory over Chris by firing a -15. Only 3 players went double digits under and they were the event medalists (Kondsta, Chris and David). Paul Bradford went running home with his shovel, another dominant performance (sorry Paul): The Handicap tourney had a most exhilarating finish. Only two players (David and Chris) managed to break par while 4 could not break 80 under the torturous conditions and pressure of closing a major. David surged to the top and held off Dom and Chris for a two stroke victory. Paul Bradfordβ¦.what can we say but build us a great sand castle with those two shovels mate: Thanks to all that played, hope to see you at the TST event. I predict DIFFERENT scoring! Onward!

Art Vandelay TST No over-par rounds so I am happy. Got these bad boys in quick--unbiased--like ripping off a band-aid. Let the slaughter begin...
