Art Vandelay Hoo Flung Dung Classic R1 -9 It took a couple of holes for the tempo to settle down but ended with a respectable, bogey-free score.

Apple Martini Cup - Semi Final SkyBlueBen Celtic WolfWent to grab the settings to use as a practice for a different controller and noticed Pat had played so after a quick practice round I went back for the match. Did it on the fly so I didn’t think to stream it but I wish I had After a pair of opening birdies we entered what I’d like to refer to as nobody really wants to take the match stretch. We each rimmed out makeable birdie putts on two and three before I went up 2 on the back of a pair of bad luck bogies by Pat. A birdie by me on hole 6 put me 3 up and the match was starting to look like a runaway. A couple more missed birdie opportunities and a pair of birdies closed out the front 9 with me 3 up But alas, this was not to be a runaway as Pat started his comeback on hole 10. Whether it was the unintentional look at the scoreboard or the puppy running rampant across my face, I started to crumble as Pat methodically climbed his way back into the match with unmatched birdies on 10 and 13 to cut the match to 1. A surprising pair of pars on the 14th led our fearless golfers to the fifteenth where, in a moment that lacked patience, I tried to putt while looking through the puppy’s legs. The putt just went by and the match was AS heading to the par three 16th. With Pat safely on the green, I hit the tee shot slightly fast and wound up in the bunker. First to play, 21 yds away from the hole, I hit a full 23 yd splash thinking it would come up short and leave me with an easy par putt at worst. The ball had other ideas and flew the flag leaving a less than ideal par putt which I missed allowing Pat to take his first lead of the match. As I teed up on 17 I couldn’t help but think that my only real mistake of the match was about to cost me. Matching pars on 17 meant all the pressure was on me for the closing hole. With both drives landing in the fairway I was the first to play. A 13 mph crosswind pushing in the direction I had been pushing the ball for the last few holes forced a challenging shot but I was able to land it on the green. Pat’s second shot came up just short in the bunker. His chip from the bunker landed within 3 ft of the hole so the pressure was on my birdie putt. The putt I faced was probably in the 15ft range and was heavily breaking. Having already missed 3 similar putts in the round, I second guessed the line I chose. As the ball started rolling I thought it had a chance but the way things have been going I waited nervously. As it approached the cup I knew I had the right line and I watched the birdie putt drop, making the match AS at the finish Buenger advances on a count back Great match Pat! I for sure stole this one from you. You definitely played better than me throughout but especially on the back

Congratulations you've earned your place in the final

Art Vandelay Hong Kong Phooey Classic R2 -10 I was hoping to play like the "number one super guy" but for the first few holes the game thought I was "quicker than the human eye" and kept giving me Grey Fasts. So I gave the game the "Hong Kong Phooey chop" and restarted it. Surprise, surprise those Grey Fasts became Perfects. Another good, bogey-free round. PS: If the youngsters don't know what I'm talking about, Google it!

OFTR
Played well on the front 9 with a couple of eagles and then got a little too aggressive on a few holes on the back and had the back 9 blues.
