Art Vandelay Round 4 for me and Mark. If anyone wants to see how to pitch from near the green, ghost Mark's 4th Round. Unbelievable. 4, count them,4 chip in eagles. How do you get the strength right for the short pitches mate. It was fun to watch and I think it inspired me to my best score for this round of the Pub Crawl. Interestingly if it was match play, we would have went all the way to the 18th hole I think. Great round mate. It was a pleasure to be on the same course as you. Good luck to my match play opponent David. Top man Ross, really appreciate you retrieving the scorecard for me this week. (Especially when we are on opposing sides, true sportsmanship. I thought you'd just say "ahh sorry mate, forget it." haha) And honestly, thanks for the nice words & glad it didn't put you off at all and you were able to put in an incredibly strong final round. It does look like it would have made a right ding-dong matchplay battle. You are right, we would have gone the distance and a tie overall in matchplay, great stuff! Another really good round by yourself mate & good tournament to start the season, hope you keep it up. Yeah, I ran fairly lucky with the pitches this round (it's not always this good, I can assure you) haha no real secret to be honest mate, I pitch pretty religiously around the green (don't very often use the splash) and when you miss as many greens as I do sometimes, then I'm certainly not short of practice in that department. Thanks again for helping me out this week Ross. If it ever happens to you at some point during the season, then I certainly owe you that favour.

Should have started out 3 birds in a row but messed up the Par 5 on Hole 3. I also had 3/4 questionable approach shots where I was taking more risk and it all backfired. My putting was strong so I was happy with it being 187s. I’ll take it and move on.
Go Grip It and Sip It!

I went and played Round 3 to get it out of the way. I had a terrific start -4 through 3 holes but then I had to fight with my putter as every hole afterwards I was getting a slight drift to the right on all of my putts. It no doubt cost me 4 shots with putts missing to the right with edge burners. I was nervous on every putt more than 8ft with the stupid drift. Oh, well, I’ll go to the putting green to work on my technique.

OFTR : I know unfairly missed putts is a usual tune, but this time I think I beat my record of "by-one-thin-hair" missed ones. By the way, missed is missed whatever the gap.
Not a bad round aside of that.

Tired of the random sh%$ tempos; tired of the random ghost breaks and missing breaks; tired of the boring, shitty, tricked-up courses; just tired of this game.

First report card for season 9, let's go Keggers! Missed a few putts in round 1, but still came out with a decent -9 putting us 2 clear in our first match. Second round was a slippery one with those high winds and 187s. Fortunately, I hit a few approaches on a frozen rope resulting in some gimme putts. Came away with a respectable -7 which wraps up our 2nd match (and gets me through this week's CC cut). 🍸 Art Vandelay
