Art Vandelay WutpaRounds for the 'Merica's  Rounds for ROTW Tried something different on round 3(how's that work out for ya, Carol??? dumba§s) Reverted back on Round 4 , what a difference an archetype makes!   I'd take it, neighbour 😂! That bad of a round 3 for me, couldn't drive, couldn't putt from anywhere. I definetly was not sure if I'd have it in me to post the score in first place or just quietly dissapear to some very distant place and never to return. But I can see that I'm not the only one strugglin through ROW so I might change my mind still👀. All I can say is I feel sorry for my fellow teammates... You had a nice 4th round neighbour! 💫 |

S10, W4: Americas, Round 2 @ I, Touchable Token!I played the front 9 yesterday, and was struggling to get anything going in the way of tempo, momentum, joie de vivre, so I walked away from the game for the night and went and ate something entirely bad for me, which gave me tempo, momentum, joie de vivre for the rest of the evening. This morning I picked up where I left off (with the game, not the eating) and it was a new day indeed. Much better on the back 9 since some of my shots actually went where I aimed them this time. Amazing! I couldn't quite match my R1 score, but I'm more than happy to lounge around the clubhouse on -21 after 36 holes on a challenging track, almost close enough to touch the hem of deathstar's plus fours. S10, W4: Rest of the World, Round 3 @ Softly Caked InsolesLovely course, enjoyed playing it, even in the rain. Of course a large chunk of that enjoyment was because for some unknown reason my round went much better than I expected. I had played a couple of practice rounds over the weekend but their mediocrity certainly did not instill any confidence in me. And yet...today I shot much better than the practice rounds, which is the complete reverse of my usual trend. I was starting to lose concentration and consequently also lose the plot by the last few holes, so I shall play R4 another day. Go Fireballers!  Art VandelayWutpa

After a total collapse of this weeks rounds 1-3, a total score of +11 on all 4 rounds forced me to seek the reason to the disaster. I'm not saying I'm a great player by any means but a drop of some 20 strokes in a 4 round tournament is much and there has to be a reason for it. It turns out that I've messed my fittings really bad over the last week or so, one would think that going 9-12 on fittings would make your avatar better and better, doesn't seem to be the case, rather have a good balance overall. Luckily I listened to Wutpa and saved my profile last week(had recently all fittings gone twice) , so now I overwrited my current profile with the old profile from last week. And voila! Works like a charm, no slow drives no weird putting. So I did this before Round 4 on the Scotland course and started off with a triple💩, and thought thats goodbye and see ya folks! But managed to keep somewhat calm for the rest of the round and finish at +1 for round 4. OFTR back on track with - 8, a good score for me and the more important thing getting trust in my clubs back👍. There's some light in the dungeons atm. |
