I’m sorry guys that I feel the need to mention this but it’s bugged me for a few weeks and not got any better. There are 8 people this week that haven’t even posted their scores of any round they might have played, before when we used to use CC rounds we had to get at least two rounds in by Thursday morning, it’s Friday afternoon her UK time and we still have first and second round results still to come in. I’ve not checked discord to see if their are any scorecards on there. I know people have lives outside of this game we play but admins can we not still follow the protocols we used to use. In fairness Les I also play CC and they have strict deadlines so I usually do R1 and 2 of CC before starting my society rounds.

Although, I understand where you are coming from, because I am often checking to see how things have went. But the rules no longer require it. How can the rules say theres no midweek deadline, but the expectation be something different? I would motion for a Rules/Guidelines update to require one of the two Tours be completed by mid-week. I think it also makes tracking the wins and losses more fun. And make it easier on Art and Nigel as you mentioned. Rules/Guidelines - Updated 22.06.24In The Brew Crew we’re here for fun but there needs to be a few rules/guidelines just to ensure everything runs smoothly. For the avoidance of doubt we state here the guidelines that players are expected to follow and the penalties should they be transgressed. All competition is run following TGCT rules. The main 4 rounds will be played using the TBC The Americas Tour society for Rounds 1 and 2 and TBC Rest of the World Tour society for Rounds 3 and 4. Scorecards MUST be produced for rounds played in the TBC Rest of the World Tour. One additional team round to be played in TBC OFTR & Special Events society. This will be scored in Stableford format with the following points structure:- Albatross 8, Eagle 5, Birdie 2, Par 1, Bogie -1, Double Bogie or worse -3. Again, a scorecard MUST be produced for this round. There is no midweek deadline.

My thoughts are also with Art and Nigel rushing to input scores and update the sheets at the end of the week that’s how mistakes can be made. Well, I've been a particularly Bad Nigel this week, as I haven't played any of my rounds yet. Apologies to my fellow Foregasms and Dirty Old Men for holding things up. I felt the need to walk away from the game for a few days because tempo struggles and consistent inconsistency were getting me down, but I'll be playing all my rounds today. And then, as an admin, I shall also wag a finger at myself for my recalcitrance.

First two, errrr, things.
I had enough of this after the first few holes. The tempo lottery was in full swing, so I pretty much speed-golfed my way through these rounds. Being honest, I couldn't have given a shiny sh1t where the ball finished; and I'm sorry for that. I've just had enough of the tempo lottery.

From the Big Book of Big Words: Recalcitrance: the return to a state of coma or mental absence caused by excessive intake of milk, cheese, ice cream, chewable antacids, or women’s bone supplements.

It was clearly stated that there is no cut off this season. So rather than do the whole upload debacle twice. I do it once at the end of the week, as I have just done. If it's changed back, I'll follow the rules, as I am doing now. I really don't mind either way. Cheers.

Pub Crawl, S9W5, Americas @ Pianist Evader
My ability to play continues to swirl down the toilet. I had already put three golf balls in the drink by the time I teed off on the 8th in R1, including two on #3 due to my complete inability to hit a shot that was either straight or well-times. 250 yard shanks were the order of the day. +4 at the turn, my only thought as whether I could drag it back to level par by the end. R2 started better, but any hopeful thoughts I had that I had turned a corner soon evaporated, and I had to sign for a risible -3. Apologies fellow Gasms. Art VandelayWutpa

Pub Crawl, S9W5, RoW @ Tingly Viking ForeclosesI went straight into the RoW leg after having my ego shredded in the Americas leg, with the most optimistic thought I could muster being "well, I can't play any worse". This turned out to be true in R3, but only by the slimmest of margins and not without more trips to subterranean neighbourhoods. R4 was a definite improvement, but I still couldn't keep a double off my card after yet another splash. That'll be five in week five, which doesn't bode well for week seven. But there were signs my tempo was running out of energy in its constant bid to outfox me, and I had just enough controlled shots to sneak the win against TimB. Art VandelayWutpa

Ordinary Frogs Turn Red @ Gaudy Golf Oasis ObeyedIt seems I got better as I went on, and there were finally some promising signs of semi-decent golf being played. I still couldn't stop random bogeys blighting the card, but at least there were 12 birdies to offset that this time. 26 points is hardly a spectacular total, but the way I was playing earlier in the day I'd have been lucky to scrape into positive figures at all. Foreward Gasms. Art VandelayWutpa
