I haven't seen the conditions but I'm predicting some insane scores on this very short course. There are some tricky greens and many shots will require the dreaded and unreliable pitch shot, but still low scores incoming!

There are some tricky greens and many shots will require the dreaded and unreliable pitch shot, but still low scores incoming! The wind and green speeds made it tricky. I still shot well but left some out there and gave a few back too. -14,-8,-8,-14 for -44

Thanks for getting the thread started boys. Apologies for being a bit behind this week, we are on high alert around my house for kiddo #2 to come any day now. Welcome to Hyperion's Revenge by agrainger12. He is a relatively new designer to the community, but has already competed in a couple of design competitions and thrown out some real stunners. This course is set among some greek ruins and has stunning views over clifftops and all around the course. The fairways are tight and greens are tricky, but fair if you hit the right spots. Yes, there will be birdies. Many of them. So fire away. I am sitting on 4 demo marks, so I will be fighting for my elite life. But good luck to everyone!

I left way too many shots out there with my sloppy short game. I think i forgot out to splash and flop cause I left a lot of those way too short. -7, -8 which is going to be very close to the cut line. I killed the front nine and always gave back on the back. Nearly had an albatross on #8, (I had one in practice), but it hit the pin and spun 12 feet away. It hurt lipping out that eagle putt. I felt I should have had 3-4 eagles but only managed one. GIR is going to be great but just too many putts.
Both rounds -6 front nine and a -1 and -2 for the back. So disappointing.

Season roller coaster continues. Finished -39 with 2 missed putts I’m still not sure if Portugal uses regulation size holes or not. This was far from the spectacular 105th place last week.
I think I figured out tempo, again... I’ll see you next week in the bottom 100.

Easily my favorite lidar course of last year. Would highly encourage anyone who doesn’t know the course to look up real photos while you play it. The RCR is stunning. Feels like he nailed it down to the last tiny rock.

First two rounds in at -16, think it’ll be inside the cut.
Played last two anyway and ended up -30 total.
-49 winning score prediction.
I liked the concept of the course and the presentation by the designer, felt the greens were a little monotonous with their slopes. Last week the greens were probably more contoured but there was a bit of variety to the extremities of the complexes, also felt the par 5s were a bit “samey” this week but did think there were some good short 4s that were interesting. Still not sure how some find this course so easy, I found it very hard to get close to pins.
53.57% of fairways 80% in greens (did not feel like it) 34 ft proximity to hole 55.56% one putt percentage Scrambling 78% 5 bogeys

75 78
Couldn't find birdies to save my life. Have no feel for this game now. Can't explain it, except for maybe that last swing patch? I dunno. Rough.

Played about as poorly as I can play — 66-66 for -14 and probably a missed cut. Ugh. Good luck to all.

So, ended round 1 with a bogey putt to complete a pretty poor round at -4. Turn the game off, come back later to start round 2, and I'm sitting on the lip of the 18th hole putting for double bogey....
Real quick went from prepared to make a seco d round run to done with this game for the week

You’ll bounce back next week. Head out to Terry’s goat pasture for some relaxing practice rounds.

Ball went in the hole, first round was complete, but I turned the game off before it went through the experience points and such. When I came back I have a 1 inch putt and an extra stroke. Definite game glitch, apparently never be in a hurry after your round ends
