I like the new theme so far. I've encoutered a few little quirks and minor bugs (I was playing Shakespeare last night and the banners are flashing...).
For me the GNCD updates were what I was waiting for and they delivered. Loving the new bunker shapes (and trying to figure out when I would even use some of the old ones again...). The walls are great. Retaining walls are quite finicky however, need to play around with these more to fully figure them out (tutorial video coming soon!). I don't really like how the "grass" part of the retaining wall doesn't blend well at all with the grass on the course, almost forcing you to plant around the wall.
The theme itself looks spectacular although I was a bit underwhelmed by the bush and plant selection. There should still be more than enough to create something that looks good.

Can't seem to delete any grass now that has been placed unless I'm missing something....generated grass can be deleted but not anything that is user created.

This patch has really screwed up some key things for me with the GNCD. The themed grass and global plants are not selectable currently. The saltwater marsh course I'm working on is currently broken. A bug that should be hopefully fixed soon, but something that should have never made it live.
With the new brushes added to the carousel the groupings of basic brushes that I use the most for grading have been split up. In one direction I have to cycle 18 times and the other direction 38 times to go from one grouping to another now. That's brutal.
I haven't been able to raise the height on the retaining walls. If the default height(which is probably too low atm) is the only height available that really limits its usefulness, especially trying to place walls near the edge of the heavy rough strip outside of the greens. I foresee courses that will have greens surrounded by steep slopes descending to the top of the retaining walls. What's the point of a retaining wall if it's not retaining the steep slope behind it? The blending from the top of wall texture to the grade is pretty bad as well. Bad enough that it probably needs planting to screen it.
Bummer.

Yep retaining walls need some work like people have mentioned in previous comments. Different heights would be great. The stairs are nice but the slope of the ground needs to be just right or the ground shows through.

Lots of 99% shots. Never had them before and had about half a dozen in practically every round I've played since. |

Lots of 99% shots. Never had them before and had about half a dozen in practically every round I've played since. I have always noticed that I get more 94% shots on courses with smoother frame rates. Perhaps the performance increase from the update is making more courses run at better frame rates and that's why you see more 90% shots. Just make sure to hold at the top of the backswing for a second, then make a quick move on the downswing to help alleviate the lesser percentage shots |

Me too,I can count the number of 90% shots I have had on one hand in the last month,since the update I have had around 20,it should make Shakespeare this week very interesting lol |
