Seems like a short course but I see we are dealing with Very High winds and very firm greens this time around.
Greens are already funky on some holes, so max firmness and speed should make them very interesting.

-6 in the first round came with 9 birdies and 3 bogeys.. One of those bogeys came with a shanked birdie putt followed by a shanked par putt. Believe I had another shanked birdie putt in there too.. Round 2 was a little better with a -10 with a bogey.. Good luck to everyone..

Got the early tee time this week, love the golf course but scoring will be low!
Got out the gates nicely with a 61 but missed a 2 footer for eagle, yip city.
Rd 2 and 3 were steady with a 66 and 65 respectively.
Rd 4 was going the same way as 2 and 3 stood on the 11th at -5 but then things went absolutely mental... played the last 8 holes in -9 to shoot a 14 under 58 which is easily my best TGCT round ever. -38 in the house. Hopefully it might sneak a top 10 but I see a -50 out there.
Go well everyone!

Started with 61 then 72. Ugh. I think I 4 putt 2 greens on the front 9 second round. I got the yips when I saw “very fast”.

Putter failed again for the second week in a row. Don't get me wrong, I made nice shots and nice birdies. I think only two silly bogeys for two rounds, but I lipped so many putts, I actually started counting. I stopped in the second round after i hit 7. Lots of birdies/eagles out there. Shot a first round 66 which should have been 3-4 shots better and a second round 64 with the same caveat. -14 after two, which I'm confident will make the cut but this course was there for the taking and I'm a bit disappointed.
I will say one thing, the wind seemed off. There were some mid iron shots that the wind just seemed to do nothing with. I'm on a slight green side hill lie that will move the ball right, the wind is high coming right to left, I hit it perfect with the shot in the cone and the ball started right and never came back an inch. I had a couple of those that defied explanation.

Was sitting at -30 after round 3. As always I get that one round that is a bit off. Managed to birdie the last three holes to end up at -36 which I am hoping could be somewhere near the top ten mark, but I guess more likely top 20.

R1 63 R2 66 R3 69 R4 65 -25 total. Struggled in round three with the very fast winds. Putting well but when your proximity to the hole is 32 feet it's going to be hard to go low. Hopefully I can improve the tempo with the irons in the coming weeks and get more makeable birdie putts. Good luck to everyone this week.

I knew people would go low with a short course for Elite standards on a true RCR. But -14, that’s some dang good shooting from the leader so far. With it being such a generous course we did crank the conditions a bit for a round or two. Manage those well and I think the winner definitely gets close to a 50 burger Didn’t have time to get out there yet for my first two rounds. Plan on hitting it up tomorrow. Hope everyone enjoys this excellent track by Heisenberg the man put in some serious work to pull off one of the best recreations I’ve seen in this game. Check out the detail in nailing the clubhouse and 18th alone. Kudos.

Great looking and playing golf course. I wouldn't be to worried about what the Top 5 or 10 shoot as they will always be good enough to go low on any track chosen, the cut line might be a better indicator of how the field are coping each week?
Round 1 in the bank and i'll be around the cut line again. Only 57% FIR along with finding 8 bunkers means I'm happy with 7 under par.

It's so good isn't it! as an RCR designer I was besides myself looking around the plot at the little hacks he's done to achieve certain looks, just a brilliant job

The soul-crushing thing about golf: One bad hole can screw up 71 other good ones. The somewhat good news: I finished -35. The really bad news: I was at -9 despite the howling conditions in round three heading to No. 18; I got caught up in the very deep and steep bunker in front of the green and took an 8. Adios any chance of finishing near the top.
Very, very frustrated.

-20 through the first 2 rounds and I think I hit every bunker on the course. Looking forward to see how I fair with high winds in the 3rd and see what it does to score on the leaderboard. Good luck to everyone getting through the first 2

First 2 rounds in the book and what a amazing course this is. As I said in the last thread this course is about 30 mins from my place an amazing RCR.
-21 through 2 rounds and bogey free soo far. I’m -14 on the back 9 in both rounds with a -8 from the last 9 holes in round 2. Had some tempo issues early in round 2 but once they got sorted I was able to put some approaches pretty close and hole some puts.
Some great scoring going on so far. Good luck to everyone yet to play

“And a Par, he Putts for Par, he’ll be happy with Par”
You get the idea! Played better in Rd2 but struggled to stay on the green and didn’t hole many putts. -4 second Rd, -11 will miss the cut by a couple
