Putting vastly improved but everything else suffered post patch. Finished 66, 68, 66, 70 to shoot -18. Not good, not bad, and aggressively average as always. Maybe playing at 2 AM while half drunk isn't the best strategy. But that's the best way to play, objectively

Its gonna be that rough this year??
You thought it was that difficult that -12 has a chance? Cos I really didn't - I felt like I PLAYED awful for that, not that the course (apart from certain stupid bits as previously mentioned) was difficult.
I continued to play terrible to finish -22. -7 made it last week. You're thinking this week was at LEAST 6 shots easier through two rounds that -12 misses is what I read.

Yeah - everyone has had another week to improve, putting is far easier, and we don't have a VH wind to contend with...... I'll be quite glad to be proved wrong by you all though - as that would (miraculously) mean I make the cut

Second week at these heights and struggling with the new putting - feels so unnatural to me. So, I focused on hitting the greens and avoid three-putts by making sure not to overhit. I’m a bit surprised by my score for the first round but I’ll take it... 😂😂😂
Round 1: -10
Good luck all, Frans

I think I literally had 2 or 3 putts stop dead center on the lip. What 1 more % and it goes? And this course had a lot more trouble - water etc than last week if you hit a bad shot or took on a tucked pin? -12 may be close but wouldn’t sell right now!

-34.
The new putting is extremely frustrating. Would have missed at least 10 putts from inside 8 feet due to the ball just barely leaving the club face. Can’t get the speed at all and seems a bit random on how the ball comes off the putter. Probably just a matter of more practice I guess.
Only 6 shots off the top guys so far so that’s as close as I’ve been for about 4 years 😂

Disastrous second round with multiple three-putts...
-4
-14 halfway and cut-watching I guess?

Nothing wrong with the putting mechanics. They play the same as they did before using my method. If u took it back slow before there is minimal difference. Still the finesse that was there before and the ball rolls great. Only thing ive had to do is adjust by adding 2 taps length on uphill putts just to hold the line better. If not youve gotta adjust for dead weight break.
My one putt percentage and birdie conversion rate youd think id blitzed it but missed far to many greens and thats my problem atm.
I go thru bunches of holes where i hit it perfect. Then ill hit a fast and miss the green or leave a 50ft birdie putt. Or a slow and its a struggle.
I also get lazy when going for a slight fast with the driver and the perfect is a killer.
Alot better scoring than last week but way too many bogies again stop me in my tracks. Rd 3 i went bogey free but the others sloppy bogies cost me a chance at a top ten i reckon.
Still work in progress but the seasons still young👍👍
Good luck all to play this week. Course and setup were sound. Couple of funky pins but not as wank as last week but thats to be expected. The hb official courses are just dross!

I think that’s where my problem is, I e always taken it back fast. You definitely have to hit it harder with this version than 19 in my view. Probably been asked but I’d there still a way to get worm cam along the Grid lines or is that gone now?

It still works real good hammo.
I understand what ur saying. Ive tried taking it back real fast too and since the hotfix. It is massively slowed down. Like sloan said the other day to it seems to speed up the further you take it back. They've added alot more finesse to what was a jerky un golf like putting stroke before. The mechanics now actually give you the ability to stroke a putt instead of just bash bash bash like it was before. Anyone who thinks ramming a 4ft putt 10 ft passed if your not thinking was a good mechanic needed there head checked. They are constantly fine tuning it and the big red fast is next. Along with the grey slow. You can be slightly slow. Like just off the perfect and it squirts you further than the grey fast does so i believe that the dispersion right to left will be the next one and the reds will have alot more variation.
Then weve got ourselves a really good golf game!

Hopefully make the cut abit more comfortably this week. Managed a pair of -9s to sit at -18 . Pretty happy with that, let a couple of putts slip by but had a break or 2 aswel.
Damn i dont really no how the game plays different for the other consoles but the xbox is a real slog. Never really feel in control of my swing, tempo is brutal and constantly having a tennis rally between slows and fasts. Had 2 bogeys in my rounds caused by random slows short siding me greenside 😔.
Sad reality is trying to make cuts and competing with my fellow xboxers is all iv got to play for right now 😬😔

In camera settings - make sure the top option for Putting and Approach is OFF - if you change it mid-round - you have to exit the round and get back in. This wills give you the 'worm cam' as you put it - where you can zoom from behind ball to your marker along your line..
