I'll start it off this week.
With the changes that happened with the "non-update" update or server side tweaks in the middle of last week, it made for a lot of putting practice for most of us. For me, the slightly more relaxed white perfect and grey slow/fast areas meant that I could move up some in driver distance and a couple of my longer clubs. The middle to the low end of my bag I simply took the slightly more forgiving nature and had no changes. I had a game plan to move up from a 273 to a 283 distance driver for the opening round at the back tees and then go back to the 273 driver more more accuracy since the tees were moved up.
Opening round was breezy. Not like last weeks' opening round, but the wind is enough to bother ya. Especially since it is hard to find a flat spot in the fairways here, it makes approaches tricky to figure out. I came through putting well on the front nine making three putts from the 20-30 foot range. The back nine was mostly hanging on trying not to make bogeys. Finished up with 6 birds and a bogey to go -5 in the end.
Second round, as I mentioned, was the round with the tees moved up a set. Calmer conditions from a wind standpoint, but those greens were slick. Had more birdies in this round, but the potential for trouble seemed greater as well. The third hole was particularly bad for me. Missed with a slow and then had a very awkward chip that I didn't come close to pulling off. Left me a really long putt from the bottom of the green. Three putted from there for a double. Second round was 9 birds, 2 bogeys, and that double for yet another -5 round.
No idea where -10 is after two rounds to be honest with the changes made by HB/2K and then with one more week of play and finally with a few players that will make it up here from the Qualifying Pool.
Good luck to everyone out there this week!

First round I came in -4 with 7 birdies and 3 bogeys was just trying to hang on through the back 9.
Round two I had 14 Birdies and 2 Bogeys for a -12 to get to the cut at -16. Through two rounds I am very pleased with my performance.

I played R3 and R4. If I miss the cut then it doesn't matter, but here ya go anyways. Also, if I miss the cut then I played well enough to be clear of any demotion marks, IMO. Goal is to stay up here all season.
Back to the 283 Driver for these rounds.
Round 3 is the scoring round. Went bogey free with 7 birdies. -7 Round 4 is the toughest round. Went -4 in total. 4 birds on the front, then two bogeys along the way over the back 9 with an eagle to finish on the 72nd.
In case my scores actually matter after R2, then I finish up -5/-5/-7/-4 with a -21.
Again, good luck to all with rounds to play!

One round in the books. Was working on my Rookie Design Contest course and decided to give Aristida a practice round. Ended up with two practice rounds at -6 and -8 with no bogeys, so figured I'd play round 1. Ended up carding a -7 65, also bogey free. Pretty happy with that, but I'm going to wait for the leaderboard to be up before playing round 2, as I'd really like to make the cut and erase the demotion mark I got last week by missing a 14' birdie putt on the 72nd hole...

Got off to an extremely slow start. Seems to be a theme. -8/-12/-13/-7. I missed so many on the edge or lip R1 and R4. I felt my reads were fine. It’s those subtle ones from 10-15 and you even give it extra and still miss low. Must be the designer brush. 🤷🏼♂️

Went straight in without playing a round since last weekend and I definitely felt the effects of the patch quickly.
Haven't read much on what they did but everything feels worse and more random to me. Putting felt terrible...like my putter was made of plastic or something. The ball just never seemed to roll purely. Also got a lot of weird flights with my approaches.
Managed to make some long putts and mostly tore up the par 5s to shoot a respectable score. But -1 on the back 9 in round 4 kept me from getting to -40. -39 in total for a decent finish probably, but may have managed something better had I kept it up on the final 9 holes.
Looks like I need some more practice on the patch but my first reaction was not a good one. Outside of the obvious fast complaints I felt the game was playing fine before and I was actually enjoying the putting quite a bit.

Like putting with a toddler plastic putter. However, I didn't fear 187s anywhere near like I would have under the old putting mechanic that we had for 6 weeks or so. That is a shame.

That is a shame. Yep. TGC2 had harder putting on 187. It is distance specific of course as once I get to 50+ foot putts on most any green speeds I struggle without smacking it too far under this new mechanic. The emphasis is on mid to shorter putts on this tour I would think.
My summary is that the putting was linear based going from short distances to long for the first 6 weeks with a starting point of putts being "slick" or "fast" to start at short distances to the hole. Now we have a slow or "muddy" mechanic at short distances, but it is not linear, but more exponential the further one needs to putt as long distances are quite difficult to lag correctly, at least for me anyways.

Putting vastly improved but everything else suffered post patch. Finished 66, 68, 66, 70 to shoot -18. Not good, not bad, and aggressively average as always. Maybe playing at 2 AM while half drunk isn't the best strategy.

Played terrible, didn't enjoy the two massively orange / red pins on the back nine in R2 (clearly going to be a theme again this season)
-12 after two - won't be around for the weekend

You thought it was that difficult that -12 has a chance? Cos I really didn't - I felt like I PLAYED awful for that, not that the course (apart from certain stupid bits as previously mentioned) was difficult.
I continued to play terrible to finish -22.
