Welcome to week 4!
This week we head to Ayrshire Gailes. You're gently (hopefully) introduced to the course before the weather kicks in. The expected dry wind event caused the tour organizers to move up the tees in round 3.
The moral here? Score early and often in rounds 1 and 2... a shaky tempo could come back to hurt you in the harder rounds 3 and 4.
good luck!

Well, round 1 was indeed a scoreable round. 9-under. And it should have been 10 had I made a damn 6-foot birdie putt that I had no business missing on the 7th or didn't lip out one of the couple of birdie putts that didn't went in. But I feel great about my performance. Went with a less powerful driver in search of great accuracy and the results worked very well.

Serviceable -1 for my first round, certainly an improvement on last week. Couldn't find a consistent tempo but didn't miss badly enough to make saving par too difficult. Just not enough birdie opportunities to go lower.

-20 total with some frustrating tempo and putts. Could have been better but it's locked away....prob no green marks this week though. Good luck all.

Cc-B
A decent opening round of -8 should put me in good stead for the next 3 and hopefully make a cut just off that providing I can shoot even par in the next.
Happy with the progression from last weeks 54th place.
Last nights two practice rounds certainly made a big difference and only making one bogey too.
Good luck to all.

52% in medium putts, so left a good 10-15 shots out there. still could have been worse, had all the usual red slows but the worst trouble too get in this week was a couple of bushes. and only two 4-putts i think, so im ok with -15, should hopefully avoid demotion marks for another week.

-4 with 35% GIR, 50% FIR, 100% short putts, 100% medium putts, 100% scrambling, and bogey free. Wow....what a ride.

Good course. Felt like it was very scoreable but somehow I kept bogeying anytime I would birdie. Finished E E after two rounds, no idea if that makes the cut or not.

CC-A, missed the cut last week and got a demotion mark with -1 at the cut. Shot -9 round 1 this week, so I'm just gonna sit on that for a bit . It isn't a very easy course, tight fairways. My driving has been great, but I struggle to get the ball closer than 15 feet to the pin. I just drained everything and made several par putts over 10ft. Probably the most promising round I've had on TGCTours in a few months, just gotta keep playing a few practice rounds throughout the week.

I forgot to add how much I liked the course. Tight and challenging of the tee with medium sized greens but with ample scoring opportunities because the holes aren't too long. Definitely felt I had to think my way round and know if (when) the wind gets up this is gonna be a trick one for sure.

I like the idea of having cuts in the CC as it gives players who are mid-flight something to play for, and if you miss the cut you free up some time to play other courses. Unfortunately I missed the cut last week by one stroke and a +5 first round this week looks like I'll have more time on my hands. I'm going to look at my tempo as it's way off what I had going last week.

finished -23
...probably should have quit after the 3rd round as I felt my tempo slipping a bit late in the round. Really struggled to find the fairway in round 4.

After missing the cut and getting a demotion mark i was feeling a little extra pressure and was a little shaky but managed a -4. Then I settled down some and shot -6 and -10 before finishing -4 for a 4 round total of -24. Best 4 rounds I’ve put together in this game.

Practiced the crap out of this course. Managed a +2 for the first round. Better than last week, so I’ll take it. Been trying to incorporate some different methods. Seems like it’s moving in the right direction.

11 birdies and 2 very avoidable bogeys for an opening round of -9. Sitting on 2 promos after last week, so hoping I can push on from that promising opener and get myself up to CC-B.
