-18 after two rounds should see me make the cut. Didnt expect -18 but the putting is less twitchy now and that was dropping me shots previously.

I am scared to death of 187 greens in 2K21, they didn't bother me near so much in the previous game. Three-putted too many times (more than zero is too many lol) in the second round but managed to pull it together on the inward side. Laying at -14 after two which isn't going to win anything but hopefully should make the cut 🤞🏼.

-4 R1 with 34 putts pretty much sums up how I did on the greens -8 R2, had a slow approach on the 18th and the ball rolled back down the slope but stayed on the green. Birdie putt went 9 feet by the hole, par putt 2 feet short.
Thinking that bogey will make me miss the cut. 1st round I was alternating fast and slows, might have had 3 perfects. 2nd round probably had 50% perfects, not sure what the difference was. Enjoyed the course, good luck those still to tee off and see you next week if I miss the cut.

Not sure how well this will work. But I built a feed of the live leaderboard in to a Google Sheet with hopes of building an accurate cut line projection. What I did was pull in the leaderboard. If a player has played first 2 rounds I use their actual score of course, if a player has only played 1 round I copy over their R1 score for their R2 score. I then take the average scores in R1 and R2 separately for the remaining players yet to tee off.
So as of right now (2:30pm ET on Tuesday) 105 Players have started the tournament 92 Players have completed round 2 50 Players yet to tee off (based on 155 currently being on Kinetic Tour)
Average Round 1 score = 65.9 Average Round 2 score = 65.7
If the remaining players all eventually tee off and shoot the average scores for R1 & R2.... Current projected Cut Line = -12 and better make the cut
Let's see how accurate this is

I knew 10 under wouldn’t make the cut, but still played rounds 3 and 4.
Naturally, I shot 11 under in round 3 when the pressure is off. Grrr
2 weeks in, 2 missed cuts. Must do better!
Good luck to all playing the weekend.

There may not be any correlation at all.

Current projected Cut Line = -12 and better make the cut Let's see how accurate this is Interesting concept; does anybody have a feeling about how players who play early do vs. those who start later? There may not be any correlation at all. Well, last week around this time of the week I thought I was well within the cut line. Over the next 24-36 hours I watched myself plummet down the leaderboard and ended up making the cut by 2 strokes. Not sure if it has any correlation, but I think the people that waited to play last week seemed to be better. Combine that with the live leaderboard showing the cut line to include the "current" top 65 and not taking in to account some players haven't played their 2nd round yet you'll see the cut line go further under par by 3 or 4 strokes at least. That's why I took a shot at trying to provide an accurate cut line. Obviously, we can't predict what people will score or if they will even play their rounds. So taking averages is the best data available to update the projection.

Played R1 and shot -10 with 78% FIR and 77% GIR. Played R2 today shot -10 with 28% FIR and 83% GIR. Not sure how I got 10 birdies hitting the driver that lousy, but I’ll take it.

I had 85% FIR in R2, got stuck behind a New England Cactus from one of those. Tried to bend it around with my approach but hit the side of it. Who knew they'd sound like a tree. For those thinking hmammoth is off his rocker there is a 40 acre desert in Maine. Only a 3 hour drive for me, I'll see if the Mrs wants to go on a day trip

Dam, I hope you’re right about the cut line! Sitting at -12 and regretting all the silly mistakes I made.

1:30pm ET Wednesday Update 129 Players have started the tournament 122 Players have completed round 2 26 Players yet to tee off (based on 155 currently being on Kinetic Tour)
Average Round 1 score = 65.8 Average Round 2 score = 65.8
The average score is just better than -12 through two rounds. Which is right where my projected cut line is still showing. However, I am projecting -12 to be in 62nd place. Meaning, if 4 or more of the 26 players yet to tee off beat the average (-12) the cut line will go to -13. Looks like -12 is in trouble. Projecting -13 to be 54th place. If 11 or more of the 26 left score better than 1 stroke better than the average, the Cut line will go to -14!

Squeaky bum time as they say. I think those of us at -12 are toast.
Will probably play R3&4 anyway just for some practice in Hurricane Mammoth.
