I finished -24 after shooting -10 in round 1.. my goal was to make cuts so happy with that but the putting update railed me in the final rounds wish i would have played the other three right after i finished round 1. Its my first season on TGC Tours so just happy with a cut in the first event.

Mr 'I can't hit 50% FIR if someone put a gun to my head' Owensby here. I played pin 2 at Ayrshire Gailes with high winds and firm fairways and hit 23% FIR. No birdies on par 5's but still shot +2 so I guess the glass is somewhat half full considering I was hitting out of the rough 77% of the time.
Decision...go with the longest driver because if I am going to be hitting it out of the rough anyway, I might as well get a few more yards off the tee.(or a little deeper into the rough)

Hey guys. This is my first year with TGCtours. I used to play the Tiger Woods series and after they ended I didn't play until the end of the TGC2019. So new to the game and tour. I shot -16, which is respectable. I had an awful 2nd round but pulled it together in the 4th. All in all happy and excited to compete and make some new friends. R1 -5 R2 +3 R3 -3 R4 -11

Round 1 at Ayrshire Gailes was eventful.
5 birdies, 4 bogies to finish -1. Very close to a hattrick of bogies to finish but my par putt just dropped on the 18th!

Sounds a bit like mine. I had circles and squares all over the card. I got to the turn at -5 (after a flop in eagle and 3 birdies) but started the back 9 Double Bogey, Bogey. There were more birdies and bogeys to follow and finally ended up at -3.

Well I hope everyone's having as much fun trying to gauge shots out of the heavy rough as I am! Tight fairways this week huh

Round 2 was slightly better, -2.
Annoyingly I was -4 after the front 9, 3 putted for bogie on 14 and then 16 & 17 I bogied both again to match round 1.
Did pitch in from 50 yards or so which was great, but missed about 5 really makeable birdie putts <12 feet which was frustrating with most stopping right next to the hole.
Still, -3 after 2 rounds so should make the cut and hopefully will improve on last weeks 57th place.

R1 -4 R2 -7 R3 -4 R4 -8
I was driving and hitting greens well. The difference between rounds 1 and 3 from rounds 2 and 4 was putts. I hit a few longer putts in those rounds but all in all was consistant hitting the ball. I'll take it.

Based on last week, that might get you a fast-tracked promotion even if you don't win. Last week the Top 6 players at -21 or better got fast-tracked to CC-F.

Hi all. Newcomer here after qualifying for this tour in last week's qualifying tourney. Just finished up my first two rounds. Stopping there for now as my tempo has been all over the place (21% driving accuracy...). Everything was going well in R1, -3 through 9, and then I fell apart on the back to finish E for R1. In R2, I couldn't get anything going, and saved par pretty much every hole except for 15 where I managed a birdie (really should've been an eagle, but I left the putt short...).
So after R1 E, and R2 -1, I sit at -1 wondering if I'll make the cut...
Good luck to all.

Welcome to our circuit and last week cut was at +3 or +4 I think.

Welcome to our circuit and last week cut was at +3 or +4 I think. Awesome, here's to hoping! Really nice scores for this week by the way. I used to play the Tiger Woods games back in the day religiously, but after TW14 (with Rickie* on the cover) I stopped and never ended up getting back into golf games with TGC. But decided to hop on the 2k train and then found this wonderful community and I can tell I'm really going to love it. The advanced stats on the site are amazing! I just need to somehow figure out tempo on Xbox. My putting and play around the greens is great (or at least I think it is), but I can't hit a fairway or dial in a consistent approach shot to save my life.

Anybody look ahead to next week and play any rounds on Tasoto Golf Club? What a tough course. Long with narrow fairways and long rough. A lot of elevation to boot. Played 4 rounds and only broke par twice. It's going to be a challenge.

Finally got my first round in for this week. A lot of bogies and a few more birdies as I shot -3.
Good luck to all with holes left to play.

Another -3 in the second round. -6 for two rounds and appears I am safely inside the cut line. Still left too many strokes on the course and still missing too many fairways.
